Best GBB Assault Rifle/SMG for £250?

I just ordered the G5 today, from milspec. Can't wait to get it. Not bothered about being real or a fictitious dream someone had, looks cool and gets great reviews. Mags are expensive but that's what credit cards are for, so my bank manager tells me, with a big grin on his face.

My friend is really enjoying his.

Its surprisingly light as its all polymer and light metals. Some of the metals seem quite cheap, but there is a lot of it so it wont be breaking quite so soon, unlike WE who use cheap metals, on really thin parts.

Will have a play later and get outside with it tomorrow. Had a go on one at an Ambush game site a month back, pretty much what sold it to me. Very light (as said above) and the kick is something else.

Iain at milspec can't rate it enough, said he's struggling to find any flaws at all. The only 'rumours' going round is that the bolt catch can break off, he has had one customer report that but others seem to be fine, a third party company has produced cnc replacements though but ghk say not to go down that route, as you'd expect, maybe they'll provide higher quality replacements if it does become an issue. Iain has topped up of standard parts for this in the mean time anyway.

I remember thinking the rails felt quite cheap, might see if they come off easy enough to replace, loosing out on how light it is as a compromise though. Other than that it felt good quality.

Another question - If I decided to stretch to £350 (£250 on card and the other £100 cash so er in doors is none the wiser what would you all suggest. Just feel it's a bit limited in the £250 price range.

Probably not going to get much more, but you could buy a few more magazine's with the extra cash.

I would recommend a RA Tech upgraded rifle, but it's pretty pricey. Mine was 430 plus 150 for extra magazines

My g5 was £410 with three mags so four in total. Good price if you ask me, mags definitely up the cost though.

For £350 i'd definitley get a WE M4/m16 etc, look on milspec solutions, they come ready with an NPAS.
