Battery too powerful?

Just bought an M14 combat master and hooked up a badass lipo, but it causes the motor to spit a flash out e every time and sometimes some Sparks also. it fires a few bullets then stops shooting or even trying,any idea how to fix it?

Could be the fuse getting red hot but not blowing.

What lipo did you get?

 
Try a lower battery, I put a 11v I'm my ICS SiG it fired burst , single, full auto on semi and full just stayed as it was, crapped myself as I'd just brought it, put in a7.4 lipo fired fine, then a 9v worked ok,
