Noticed today during using the gun at todays skirmish, after setting the hop, it would unwind with vibrations.

Any one know a "fix" or how to stop it from doing this?

Its a stock plastic hop unit from a ASG AUG A3 Commando.

Metal hop unit the way to go? Blu-tac on the adjuster wheel?

Any help is appreciated!

Put a few rounds of teflon tape under the part that you turn to adjust the hopup.

Done that and that has made things a lot better, ill have to buy a roll and stick it in the skirmish kit.

Many thanks!

Also make sure you've not got any grease or anything on the gears or around the unit. Just use some isopropyl alcohol to remove. Even just a bit of dry kitchen towel helps too if you've not got any. Shouldn't make a massive difference though.

All clear and clean from any grease or lube prior to yesterdays skirmish. Its just plastic crap parts, but no doubt it would do the same with a metal hop unit. The teflon tape has made it nice and snug now :)
