Hi guys,

need some help, I recently bought an Ares VZ.58s but it is firing around the 400fps mark so need to reduce the power.

is it possible to get to the gearbox ideally without fully dissembling the entire rifle? ( really hoping for a quick change spring gearbox ?)

also does anyone know of any batteries that will fit in the minuscule battery compartment?

Cheers

Matt

It's doable but fiddly.

You'll need to remove the stock, magwell, motor and most of the front.

You can lift up the gearbox *just* enough to be able to remove the spring &spring guide.

It's still about 80% of a full stripdown though.

Battery I'll get you in a bit at lunch.

*Edit:

These are the batteries I used to use for my shorty, but I gave up and just used a PEQ box for ease of use in the end.
