Wouldn't run with them, but they might be useful to have at the range.

FMA and Emerson do cheap clones.

I was just wondering if they would suit my purpose.

Those type have been around for yrs , ones I had when they first came out (HK knock offs) worked absolutely fine mags never came out until you wanted them too . Obviously can’t comment on the ones you can get now but unless there drastically changed they should be fine for all gaming styles .?

I run 2 of the genuine ones on my belt kit, happily retain all mags, including turning the belt upside down and shaking it. tested with M&p, 1911, and TM FNX. The retention on them is fairly hoofing, they can be a twat to mount tho.
