Airsoft Operator needs you!

For some reason it's not opening for me, may well just be my internet being a nob, but it's working fine with everything else so I'm not sure...

Anyway, I'll happily contribute when I can, feel free to use the Glock 17 review I posted last night.
What about your L85 review Ed - that convinced us to buy one - to be fair, it was your general comments about how good they are that convinced us - then read your review and saw how much you spent on upgrades!!!!!

I think the L85 review is a little long and not very well written, I've been thinking about redoing it and keeping it a bit more snappy.

Though feel free to use it if you like.

Scoutthedoggie isn't on these forums though, as far as I know, best bet would probably be to ask him via YouTube or Facebook, though you might have to ask him about 600 times a week, I imagine he gets a lot of messages.

I will give you a bell Ed. The reviews are really needed but all the major points need a rank out of ten. I could always snip away at it and see what you think. If you fancy having a go yourself though no worries!

Still appears to be down unfortunately, this however gives me time to start my next article "Your First AEG"

Basically they had some sort of power failure which affected a particular server stack (multiple servers in a column) and because of the nature of the power failure the failsafes didn't work and the data was corrupted. They have reverted to their last nightly back up but given it's the whole server stack it's likely to be 100's of Terabytes. If not the Petabyte range.

As of 1:07PM it is at 63% and it started about 20-24 hours ago. Monumental task really, but the hardware on these servers isn't on par with what would be in a dedicated server so it takes longer. It'll be late evening by the time it's finished.

Back to work I go!

Edit: There are some images missing from the later posts. I will fix that tonight

Didn't even have to watch the video to know what your comment meant.

Sad. Haha.

Anyway though, site looks fucking epic already! Just read the CM16 review thingy too, well written and I like the style, this site might go places.

Well there's a seat for you at the table if you want it buddy. There's also a few other people who have IM'd me privately with offers of help. I've not replied because I work for Dyson on the weekend so don't get any time until the evening.

Yeah if I spot any content gaps I reckon I could fill then I may well do so in my spare time.

Looks great Buddy! I'll be sure to bookmark it and go on it regularily :)

On the off chance anyone cares to have a think; is there anything that people would like to see or be able to do on a new Airsoft website? We are trying to make it unique as possible to drive interest so naturally I should be asking you guys.

The latest idea we have had is monthly monster 'mash up' AEG builds. We/you submit AEG modification ideas, we build it and buy it by hosting a raffle at £1 per go perhaps and the winner gets the gun! Thoughts?

I like the idea, but it could get expensive. If you spend £200 on the gun and modifications (Could be more could be less) but your gonna need around 200 people entering the raffle. Maybe you could up the raffle fee a bit? Or do a survey to find out how many people will participate?

Really liking the site, as someone who is pretty new to the airsoft world seems to have a lot of really useful information. Especially the tutorials section.

Hi

For content I'd really like to see something for someone at the very begginging of your purchases. Lots of people talk about starter guns but not so many about the gear, what the acronyms mean or really how to get into it. Is it something where if you turn up on your own you are going to have a decent time still or be sat on your billy unless you convince your mates to come?

Cheers

An article regarding your questions is actually being written at the moment! Hand tight buddy.

That's great then.

Another article I think would be useful would be getting your first gun a step by step guide so what to do when you get your gun out of the packaging ready to use it, do you need to tighten anything, spray anything on it, where is safe to doa test firing?

I really like the look of the site and have enjoyed viewing your articles, reviews etc. Something I would like to see is a tutorial section for the less "Gun tech savvy" out there. This could have tutorials on things like, "How to replace/install an AEG Spring", "How to replace/install a new AEG motor", things like that.

I also think a good one for the beginners out there is "How to clean and maintain your weapon"
