Age old Rant but need to ‘vent’ !

Twice this wk now I’ve had those nirvana like states of happiness inducing pieces of grey cardboard drop through my letterbox ! Nothing puts a smile on your face like a piece of card saying ;

“you owed £1.46 in VAT so we paid it for you , and now we’re charging you £8 for doing it . Hugs and kisses Parcelfarce ! “  :angry:  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Got the same today. Sent me the wrong item, held my correct one because they paid the charges and didn’t tell me. I’ve been onto airsoft tiger asking where the hell my parcel is and PF have it and just aren’t informing me. Phoned up an hour ago to pay the £20.49 knowing full well that £13 of that is a fee.. Tw@ts..

Worst part was both were from the same order just been sent separately ! So I had to pay TWO scam changes not one ! And just to really  grind my nuts in too the floor with a 6inch stiletto just for shits’n’giggles the one item (a pistol torch) was only ordered from HK because it was out of stock with Taiwan Gun ,  AND now there back in stock with TG  !  :blink:

Tread on a kitten ???  You’d think I’d opened an Indian takeaway that  

specialising in ‘kitten tikka masala’  !

oops! Thanks for the reminder. I've a parcel sitting waiting for £30 VAT to be paid.

Am i the only person who orders so many bits and bobs when the postman comes its like christmas. New flashlight came today that id forgot about lol.

Maddening, isn't it?  They're charging for doing the job that the sender's already paid them to do.  They've got no contract with the recipient, but de facto if you don't pay their blackmail charge, you don't get your package.

My understanding of the legal position is that it's unlawful for them to hold up a package for the VAT or duty, not that they care, and that doesn't apply to the extra charges that they stick us up for.

Anecdotally, ParcelFarce actually own some of the buildings that international packages get processed in, and HMRC rent them out from them.  If so, they're getting paid three times. :angry:

It would be Christmas 4 times a week for me if that was the case! Pretty sure I have my own inbox at the collection off now. I'm there that often we are on first name terms!  :lol:

Lol, you guys got it easy, I worked for FedEx for 10 years & we used to collect the custom charges when we delivered, best one was when I delivered some artwork, I had to tell the recipient that I needed 17 grand before I could hand it over, guy lost it & told me to stick it where the sun don't shine

Was like that for me this week.  Postman turning up with 5+ small and large packets a couple times this week.

I mainly by off ebay, so probably not the best quality but good enough for my level.
