AEG's with sniper scopes?

too much?

@eatthis looks godd but i think it would look better if you'd left the black dots out. bit too much contrast. or cover the white parts in black :)

Check out this tool i use it for interior design work. http://colorschemedesigner.com/ you can also add the colours you already have and it will give you

a scheme.

The gripod are arse and are used to keep our rifles stood up when we're not carrying them otherwise the legs aren't used. They break easily and don't work when they're dirty. Most would be happy with just a normal grip.

But as for the scopes on a normal aeg why??? As someone said earlier you get funnelled into them and don't use them properly. It's easy to say I dot his and that but when it's actually happening I bet your eyes in the sight with not a lot of situational awareness.

I think it's easier to aim with some sort of optic than it is without. Not faster, but easier and certainly more accurate too.

Irons require you to line up the front and back sights with your target, whereas any sort of optic only needs you to line up the optic's crosshair. That's lining up 1 thing with the target instead of 2, which is an improvement, it takes less time and doesn't require you to position yourself in a certain manner to look down the weapon properly.

Additionally, BBs can be seen in flight. Having a zoom allows you to see them in flight for longer, meaning you can see what happens to them and adjust your aim if need be, better, than if you were using irons.

I've actually noted before that when a team has had a few people with ACOGs or similar and the other team have had irons only, the team with the optics has won. I doubt this could be applied to every situation, but I've witnessed it and remember taking note at the time.

I think a lot of people get caught up by the thought of real assault rifles tending to have 4x or less zoom optics. If a real rifle powerful enough and accurate enough to kill someone at 600m + and only needs a 4x ACOG, then by comparison, airsoft shouldn't need optics, right?

Well, yes that's a fair point. But it's irrelevant, airsoft isn't real and there's no denying that being able to get a closer view of things without physically being closer, is an advantage.

Conclusion?

If you want a scope, use one.

It has to be said that huge sniper style scopes with variable zoom are daft to use on an AEG though, you can't sight in fast because of the eye relief and they're simply unwieldy for the task, as well as having a quite narrow field of view when fully zoomed.

see now that looks the part (apart from that pointy trigger guard lol) i wonder if the is anyone with a rifle scoped up mp7 or uzi etc

Monkey, rainbow six vegas 2 allows you to do that I think...it's also possible on battlefield 3 I think.

I don't mind scopes on aegs, I think it looks cool on select variants of M4s and M16s,looks better when it's a M14, SVD etc.

Most of the time I'll use my center-point red dot but I'll also use an ACOG which I think is useful for scouting ahead and actually aiming with a longer ranges.

I remember one of my best shots was with an ACOG. The other team had about 3 snipers whilst we had none so I hid in a ditch and waited for one of them. There was nothing more satisfying then watching the BB's roll out of the barrel and hit their target down the scope.

Anyway scopes are pretty useful so long as you don't get tunnel vision using them or if thy're bigger than the gun they're mounted on.
