8Fields Sniper Rig

Exactly, I didn’t mention this Assuming it to be common sense, sorry if this caused confusion

Mid game? No, but between games or on fall back games/mini campaigns I’m usually out early so I got a while before I get engaged again

Then leave all of that with the rest of your gear in the safe zone. Only take the minimum into the field!!

I wouldn't want to run a chest rig with my sniper unless I know I won't be spending any time on my belly. I've done it before its very uncomfortable. Plus you need pouches for the rifle you're using's mags not M4 mags, I use a belt with two Warrior .338 mag pouches on my left, my pistol on my right and a radio on my back.

I am at the safe zone 3 times in the day, safety briefing, lunch and packing up to go home

Unless you're dueling with another Sniper, a gun hit is very rare IME. It's a sure sign you're probably too close and not exploiting your extra range (if the RIF is decent). Chest rigs aren't gonna be much use, a shoulder holster is great for a pistol and mags for the rifle and maybe a small pouch or two on your belt (and use your pockets - you don't need pouches for the sake of pouches).

It's, for me, the one role that has the most minimal amount of kit required (it's a game so not like your gonna be out there for days in theory - perhaps a milsim I suppose maybe the exception although I've still not heard of any players doing so... actually I can think of one but rare nonetheless).

On the rare occasion you may need another rif, a pistol is generally enough unless you get into a major fix. It is very tricky to run two rifs as a primary but not impossible. It's easier to have another player with you for such encounters. I run with a team mate who spots for me on occasions and takes out those who get close (like when a big push is on and enemy numbers are high).

Just my 50p's worth.

Immortal's got a good line on the shoulder holster, although for a lightweight loadout you can get away with belt easily enough. I run shoulder mostly because smersh rigs arent well set for carrying secondaries.

If it were me i'd run a belt with pistol on the right 2 pistol mags, a spare rifle mag and a speedloader on the left and that's it unless you want to carry grenades too

You could have a backpack/rear utility pouch with spare ammo/gas.

Last time i ran a boltgun i didnt even use a rig, makarov stuffed in a pocket (small pistol master race), mags and speedloader in another. Would have been fun if the rifle i was using wasn't a half assed restoration of a deactivated gun.

I'm with the others, chest rigs aren't really suited to the sniper role in airsoft.

Neither are belt/drop leg holsters.

I am experimenting with a couple of different solutions for my sniper kit, and I found out that the chest rig I was wearing (TT mini mav, thing's TINY) was getting in the way of my armpit holster and vice versa, especially with the pistol holstered.

Thing is, chest rigs are good for drawing stuff like magazines when prone, as you don't have to move a lot to reach that pouch on your hip.

But then, depending on the size and how you fit it, it can prevent you from comfortably laying down, whereas a belt doesn't really get in the way of anything.

Belt mounted holsters are cool and all, but try laying on your side to aim at that unexpected guy who shows up next to you. Now try to do it with a dtd holster.

Armpit holster is the way to go, you can draw from any stance your body allows and it doesn't give your position away (remember, the first thing the human eye notices is movement).

Get (or craft) a decent armpit holster and carry everything else on a belt.
