40 Mike will it be banned on most UK sites?

I'm thinking about getting the new 40 Mike grenade. But form what I've seen on YouTube I'm not sure if many sites will let you use it what do you think?

You're better off asking each site individually rather than just surmising whether or not its likely. However, it is likely but always best to check.

I think there was a list somewhere about the sites that had banned them, This list is getting bigger everyday.  All the sites in my list have them banned. Personally I would not bother and just go for a normal grenade if this is the path you looking at. Better than spending then realising that you cant use it.

That's what I'm thinking to Mike. It's a shame they look like they could have had the potential to make the grenade launcher a useful weapon in airsoft.

as to ‘making grenade launcher useful’ I take it you’ve never encountered across tag rounds ? ?

I have seen them but not sure if there to much money for a skirmish day and are more for Muslim. What do you think? Do you use them?

Me personally no I don’t BUT a team mate does and has to be said he’s an absolute God of War when it comes to lobbing them down range , and talk about accuracy I’d swear he can drop them on a flea’s arse at a 100paces ! ?

Yes I do totally agree they are expensive (but then again not that much more than normal pyro , it’s the setting up that makes your eyes water ?) I’d say it also encourages you to be selective with there use (like real grenades/launcher rounds) unlike the old Xbox world where we lob them around left right and centre ! ?

Theres a thread thats covered all the points, i think the cqb sites are right to ban them although it would make for a decent tool on outdoor sites with a minimum engagement distance.

They do fit (we tried one) it’s just the accuracy ain’t worth poop , the barrels are just too short on the pistol launchers to get good accuracy at distance , which to me is the whole point of a tag round , if your trying to take a fortified structure that’s got a courtyard/parapet/etc and you want to get some pyro over and in to it , unless you can get close (and in this case may as well use normal pyro) the pistol type just wern’t up to the job.

Ive got a squadmate whos been known to lob them into half-open doorways from about 150m. Think there was a video of him doing so somewhere. He uses Taggin's own launcher though - no way am I buying one of those - I could get a Marui recoil or another Daytona for that haha

My mate uses either a UGL on an L85 or a 203 on his TM416D both normal bogstandard makes and he’s getting ridiculous range and accuracy out of them ! 

Best incident with one , attacking the castle bridge at black ops Portishead , he fires one over the parapet from down past the bottom bridge . It arcs over the wall followed by a simultaneous boom AND scream , next thing you know we see two marshals walking a rental of site , we do think “oh shit hope he’s not hurt ?” After the game finished back in the safezone head marshal comes over and says “the tag round came sailing over the wall hit his rental gun and went off ! He had to be ‘escorted’ out of the game in shock ! “ he then turns and looks across the safezone and points out a bloke in a rental overall trying to shove a fag in his gob but failing miserably as he looked like he had advanced Parkinson’s ! ?

He did say “from know on lads can you be a bit more careful with them?” But he did wink and chuckle to him self as he walked off ! ?

With real firearms, longer barrels do tend to mean greater accuracy and range, but the rifling it through the entire barrel. Regardless, I recently got a nice deal on two shells and a box of Peckers (no jokes boys, lets keep it PG), so I will either be using my metal S-Thunder short handheld launcher for one or my longer polymer double barreled launcher if I want to have two chances to miss my target

Not saying it’s going to shoot off like a Congreve rocket , but we did find the longer barrel more accurate and had greater range which we came to the conclusion was the result of not all the energy of the gas being used to fire it , when we did fire it there was a much more noticeable release of gas noise (similar to a venting mag) as soon as you pull the trigger it’s left the barrel due to the shorter length , so your obviously going to loose pressure much quicker than with a ‘normal’ length barrel .

Length of the barrel makes no difference, they are rifled and the barrel has little to no effect once the round has left the shell. 

Just today I launched one into the middle of a group of 5 people in the pissing down rain and wind from about 150ft from my pistol launcher

Ok bud no sweat obviously me and my two team mates shared a mutual hallucination when we tested it and the full length barrel fired the tag much further and more accurately than the pistol launcher .? 

PS I haven’t said bog all about rifling at any time ?‍

The same as you bud I can only speak from personal experience which is what I did , we fired 2 smoke and 2 impact (a site we play at regularly were thinking about using them in-game so gave my team mate money to cover the cost) from his launcher and my pistol launcher . 

The rounds from the launcher we’re going to the end of a lane (around the 200ft mark) we were shooting down and they all landed within a 6ft’ish spread . From the pistol they were getting between 160-180ft and spread across the width of the lane (was a lovely sunny day no wind or rain ! ?).

not laboratory test but I’m happy with what we found out so I’m still stick with my original conclusion .
