250 Round Midcaps - EPM1 by PTS and ODIN Innovations

I won't buy a clone on principal as they rip off legit entrepreneur designs.... as they say you buy cheap and pay twice or thrice...

The adjustable clutch is quite clever... I assume with each rotation of the handle you get the same amount of bbs's? How does it work with stiff spring mags? PTW mags as an example?

i haven't specifically tried ptw, but it's fed everything i've thrown at it no problem. obviously the clutch can be tightened up as needed.

the ak adaptors are pretty stiff, mostly due to the s bend the adaptor needs, but it still feeds fine.

I've had a quick look online and the m12 seems to be out of stock almost everywhere... well in the UK that is...

I've also just seen the transformer video from zshot2020 so I expect the stocks are low as they are waiting to switch production to that model perhaps?

possibly, i can't say it's something i've paid that much attention to since it launched.

12 BBs per rotation... so if you want to short fill without adjusting the clutch you can just count your rotation to the desired level... 10 turns = aprox 120 BBs for example.

It's also very easy to take apart, clean or repair with no springs or fancy mechs to deal with. And they do sell a parts kit if you happen to break something... 10 quid most places I believe; not needed it so far!

Thanks for the heads up on it, I'll see if I can get my mitts on one in the near future...

I bought a cheap clone, partly because I didn't realise that it was a rip off of an original design, and partly because a genuine one is too rich for my wallet and occasional use at a CQB site with a very low ROF.

The sticky-out part of the handle will come off on the clones.  They all do.  But the winder mechanism itself is still usable, just cable-tie or key-ring a new handle on.

And you can use them to fill mags other than M4 if you can find an M4-magwell-to-your-mag adaptor - I use mine to fill MP5 mags.

Yeah I mean ultimately if your clone breaks you could just buy the rebuild/spares kit for 10 quid and you'll end up with 80-90% of the mechanism components as genuine and that way your paying something back to the OG manufacturer while not breaking the bank...  den evy bodeh happeh! ?

I've been meaning to get some of the adapters, need MP5/AK/G36. I've read a couple reviews where people say they only can get a half filled mag using the adapters, but i'm fairly certain those guys are just unaware that they need to tighten up the clutch a bit.

This shop actually does a lot of custom 3d parts for the Odin including pretty much every adapter model you can think of:

Of particular interest to me is this piece:

I'm not sure, but I've got a feeling the 4 pushers (as opposed to 6 on the og) may allow 4 BBs per segment, which would mean 16 rounds per rotation...  dat lil bit extra like! ?

That's a great link to the adapters! I've noticed they have one for a HK417 too.... I'll drop them a note to see if they are NGRS compatible..

Anyone seen if the mid caps are available UK anywhere yet?? Unfruitful searches for me

even before lock down etc they had said covid was effecting their supply
