hi their just having a idea for a dmr and wanted to know it would be possible to put a 11.1 lipo in and it be locked to semi with a mosfet and not need to upgrade the gearbox too much.obviously because its not on full auto it wont ruin the gearbox as quickly. thanks

Yes, that works. Actually sometimes a 7.4 won't be enough for a dmr so 11.1 is a must.

Yeah, if I had a semi only AEG if definitely put an 11.1v (maybe even 14.8 if I had room) in there, you want the gearbox to cycle fast!

Make sure you get an active braking mosfet though or you might end up 'double firing' sometimes.

room wise would be tight as i will probably do it on a scar h ssr,but a 1600 11,1 would be max size,im looking at getting a ascu fitted hopefully

If this is a long term project, you might want to wait and see how I get on with the Burst Wizard BW3 MOSFET I've just ordered, because it's a lot cheaper than an ASCU and has more functions, for eg you can program it to enforce a pause set between 0.2s and 2s between shots (which some sites require you to mentally comply with when using semi-auto sniper rifles/DMR's), plus it allows pre-cocking which gives trigger response equal to a springer.
