Hello. Another nooby question. Can anyone tell me what mosfet / ETU unit this is?. Also there is a small area on the front to plug some sort of cable into, is this in order to program new firing modes ?? thanks

Aye the compression on the piston is pretty naff. Would you suggest a new piston from a different brand ? Thanks mate. Yeah there is no o ring on the nozzle however I cannot see anywhere where on may go. checked the inside of the gearbox and the compression isn’t the best

yeah hop up and bucking are intact :), the air nozzle is plastic i cant tell if there is an o ring or not in place, it is a vfc avalon v2 gearbox. think its time to bite the bullet and open the gear box

im totally up for taking it apart, just all new to me so dont know terminology, part names etc etc. so the piston is known to not fit very well in its surround ?

380mm the inner barrel, its a vfc avalon rapier the barrel is quite big. , a photo of what mate? sorry im a noob. i did what you suggested about shining a light, i do see the light through the barrel constantly. when i look up the bb feeding tube, the nozzle from the lower receiver only covers the hole when i fire the RIF. (the nozzle cannot be seen through the feeding tube unless i fire for a split second )

With an m120 spring it’s 310fps 1.01 joules. So way under the performance of that spring, everything is stock other than the spring , the stock spring was a m100 and was only getting 240 fps 0.25 BBs Will try thanks

Thanks for the help guys. another noob questions… when I cover all holes ( bb receiver + end of the barrel) and I blow through the other end there is a slight ( very slight ) leak of air going somewhere. Is this normal ?? thanks Thanks

I am currently trying to track down an air seal issue, So before I open up the gearbox to further investigate I was wondering if the below video is normal, the metal circular seal doesn’t fit in permanently or click in place etc. is it normal for this piece to be freely sliding up the barrel ?. thanks IMG_9226.mov

Achieving that with the m120 spring. Losing a lot of power somewhere. yeah the 5 mid caps issue is with the new m120 spring and brand new batteries. The gun was fine( battery wise) prior to changing the spring, reckon it’s due to the voltage being a tad low ?

yeah i think i have an issue. getting 310 fps with .25's they are 1200 mah

i currently dont, thanks for your input, that is my suspicion that due to the spring upgrade my motor requires a tad more juice then the 7.4s provide after a bit of use. fully charged i got maybe 5 mid caps out of it before this happens.

hello, im relatively new to airsoft so please forgive my terminology. i recently purchased my first RIF, the VFC Avalon Rapier. i decided the upgrade the spring to a m120 as the stock FPS was bad, after that i have ran into an issue, after maybe an hour max of use, on a trigger pull i will get two beeps from the gear box and then the RIF will not shoot. ( sometimes it will do it on a fully charged battery also ) i haven't been able to find anything to help me with diagnosis of what the beep codes mean for this gearbox, i am only running it on a 7.4v so my suspicions are maybe i need to be using a 11.1 because of the spring change?. i am hoping someone may know what the two beeps mean exactly before i start purchasing more batteries etc. Thanks IMG_9203.MP4
