After some advice fellas, I want to do-away with the delta ring set-up on my M4..basically to strengthen things up, so am thinking about a floating barrel configuration where you screw the barrel/collar on and the rail bolts to it, butted up tight against the receiver. Problem is..I want to retain the classic front triangular sight(as apposed to a flip-up one), is there anyway to do this?
One hour later after removing the Madbull spring and fitting an XT100 spring, chrono’d it and it’s bang on the money at 348/349 with.20g. Very happy indeed.
Right then, today’s the day to de-tune “Faith”. She’s shooting 370 with.20g at the moment, so I’ve got to open her up and change the spring. I will update you with the results.
It’s a Ultimate/Lonex gearbox. I opened it and fitted the Mad Bull 100 spring years ago. It then just sat in a gun case for 20 plus years…I recently refreshed it with a maple leaf barrel and purple Prometheus bucking. I converted it to Lipo too from Tamiya. It’s a punchy little gun and I really want to use it..I guess a 90 spring would do it?
Ok, so I chrono’d my M4 today and it’s hot. A real pain in the ass as I’ll have to open up the gearbox. If I cut a coil off the spring and chrono, then another coil and chrono etc until I get it down to 350 with .20g is this the only way to solve this problem or is there an easier way? Thanks.
Hi there. After some advice please. M4 with Ultimate/Lonex gearbox, ultimate hop-up, Maple Leaf barrel, Prometheus purple hop rubber..365 on .20 . I’ve been using.28 ammo but range not brilliant and seems to curve off to the left. Should I be using a heavier weight ammo? Thanks.
