  1. I hadnt thought about protecting my goggles. That's another good shout!
  2. Thanks so much for the replies, all. These are absolutely brilliant, and I love some of the weird and wonderful solutions, including the ikea style bag. I have one sat in my utility room that I could repurpose! I'll have a look at the boneyards as well. That's a great shout. Thanks very much again for taking the time to share your experiences!
  3. Hi all, I've done a big of digging and searching, but wanted to ask in all of your experiences what youve found to be the best RIF case/bag to be from an entry level perspective. Someone new to the hobby, with one RIF, a few extra mags and batteries, and maybe a couple of attachments. Not necessarily any extra storage for side arms, other gear. But something simple, compact and affordable for someone still in their Airsoft infancy. Pics of your setup in said case/bag are always interesting to get a real Life perspective. Thanks!
  4. Thank you. That's reassuring! Will take a look
  5. Thank you! Glad in a way to hear that it's not hugely unexpected to have problems with a G&G ETU. I'll have a good look into the Perun. Might as well upgrade to something good and worthwhile if I'm going to do it!
  6. Ah, I thought that might be the case. It's a brand new rif pretty much. I could take it back to the local independent shop I bought it from but if an upgrade is worthwhile then maybe that would be a good shout. Ill have to do some research on how easy it is to swap out and whether I think I'm clued up enough to try my hand at it. Cheers!
  7. Hi all, I have a G&G CM16 Predator, which has a feature to switch Full Auto to 3 Burst by holding down the trigger for 10 seconds in Single Fire mode. And vice versa. That all works OK, however it is supposed to make a beep tone to signify it. Mine doesn't sound the tone. Similarly as I understand it this model will make a tone for error codes and for low battery warning. Which I assume will not happen as the tone to switch mode isn't sounding. Has anyone else experienced similar, and resolved it, by any chance? Thanks!
  8. Thanks very much both. I've had a read through some of the tips and tricks, and the step by step of what to expect on going for the first time. Need to have a look at what best local to see and see what dates there are in the new year. Much appreciated!
  9. Hi all, I've been a long time admirer of the world of Airsoft, have always wanted to start going but never bit the bullet. Have nosed around the forum for some time too. I've had a few hobby Airsoft pieces over the years, but one step below the models that would be good enough to go to Airsoft and use. But just to scratch the itch. I've never managed to convince any friends to give Airsoft a go with me, so have never been. Hopefully once my kids are old enough that'll change. Eldest is 7 so a few more years to go yet. But they love running around with my Airsoft guns, batteries and BBS out of the gun of course. Anyone local to East Northants that goes regularly. Theres a Skirmish near Rushden that advertise Airsoft, though can't seem to find many recent reviews. Jack
