Which of the upgrades is absolutely necessary to make it reliable? And is it overall worth it to get one and upgrade?

I was wanting to buy the A&K Magpul Masada MOD3 (folding stock AEG with the RIS and CQB length barrel) but I was told that the Masada was unreliable. Is the gun worth getting and what exactly makes it unreliable?
