  1. My girlfriend bought me the new Nov glock 18c aep which to my understanding is just a cyma gen 3 glock aep that fits in a glock holster. I watched the airsoft veteran review, and he added a spring and an 11.1 lipo that I can't find in the United States, and said he could use a 370 motor from an RC car to make it snappy. That being said he eluded to the eventuality that this setup is unsustainable for long term use without upgrading the gears and pinion gear which he said was also compatible with rc car pinion gears without giving any links or specifying the size of said pinion gear so the rest of the world would be able to upgrade thier aep. That being said, I'm not trying to get extra power per se from my aep. I just want a snappier trigger response on semi auto. I've heard some people talk about upgrading the mosfet. I am aware of 2 mosfets for aeps, the Sigma and the Jefftron. I also saw something about a perun mosfet. I think a mosfet that does precocking might work well, but idk which mosfet would work the best. On a separate note. Are there any parts that need replaced using the standard spring for long term reliability? Any recommended modification advice would be appreciated. As stated, I want this pistol to be snappy without self destructing. Its a present from my gf, and I'd like it to last.
  2. I bought at AAP 01. I also bought an action army aap01 magazine to go with it. I test fired it and so far the hop up has a hard time lifting .25g bbs at extended distances. In addition to that, the spare magazine runs out of gas after 1 magazine. Anyway, I was on reddit and was told that the hammer will fail. I was also told the barrel droops. Anyway. I just want to build it to a degree that it wont fail on me for many thousands of rounds. I'd like to have both magazines work. I at the advice of a reddit patron acquired a WE hammer group for the 18c. And got a silicon maple leaf 70 degree autobot and I key. What would you pick as a minimum upgrade for maximum reliability. And is there a fix for the magazine. It doesn't appear to leak, just has horrible efficiency.
  3. Hey guys. I'm from Maryland in the United States. Our forums are kindof growing cobwebs over here, so I joined this Forum. Anyway I had an umarex glock half blowback, and it's been slowly self destructing over the past year. I saw that Novritsch was going to be releasing a glock 18c based aep (which is hard to get imported in the USA). I like it because it fits hard shell holsters like the one I have for my gbb that took a dump on me. Also I can change the sights to original marui aep glock sights which I can make glow in the dark for tracer use. I like the idea of having it battery powered as opposed to gas pressure blowing seals and shit and buying gas all the time. I hear allot of shit about AEPs though from cyma. And then i hear that they are low maintenance. So my question is. 1 - do they require any parts to be replaced to be reliable? I've heard the Sline mosfet is shitty, so a replacement mosfet might be in my sights as well as a better battery. I know they shoot about 200fps so I'm assuming that a tighter bore barrel, and a name brand hop up bucking could extend the range. 2 - what parts are recommended for quick trigger response? And is there a video tutorial on working on the gearboxes themselves? I just want to know what I would be getting into. I dont want to spend more than $100 on parts to make it reliable, unless it pays off in the long run. It is mainly going to be an indoor plinker, and a secondary to a sniper rifle.
