Hi I took the leap and purchased a full steel receiver WE ACE VD with wood stocks on the way. I want to know the best option for the longest full steel inner tight bore barrel upgrade, and if it should also have the bucking and hop up upgraded along with. Its going HPA via the magazine, I should mention Its really just for the replica aspect This will not be skirmishing when I plan to plink with it, it will be mostly used at 20 yards or so in a private plot at cans etc so I am looking for most velocity it will be going HPA and so on. I also have an A&K SVD with real Soviet 1960 SVD prototype wood stocks. The Mancraft Pdik hpa system on its way to me in the post. Which will be getting similar upgrades but I have found a steel 6.03 650mm barrel for around £24 which seems quite good. I was thinking of getting both to a great standard. I expect then I may keep one and sell the other once I decide my favourite

Hi everyone I have an A&K SVD purchased with the co2 cartridge mod cheapy £99 job , but it was originally a springer design. My valve has broken and just leaks all the co2 immediately (due to to many slams I guess!) Do you have to buy an entire new CO2 unit, or does anyone know if I can just buy the screw on head (valve part) and replace it to spend a bit less? its kind of a genius design in terms of the limitations they had to work with , but also crude and apparently self destructs after to long! I have purchased the Mancraft drop in engine and HPA setup for a nicer SVD But I would like to still have this little CO2 unit for my about SVD. Definitely do not want to waste £60 on a new one any tips let me know thanks so much

Hi guys and girls. I have been wondering for ages ! How the hell does this thing work. I own a A&K SVD with that Co2 gimmick that replaces a manual spring action. but for the life of me I can not see how pulling the trigger actuates that system. Its a mystery to me. You screw in a co2 bulb put it in the gun with that light positioning spring behind it. And for some reason after manually cycling ,it fires . But i can not see what activates the little cylinder there is nothing i can do to manually make it expel co2 and there seems to be nothing in the action ? God I would love to know what is happening to make this occur. There must be unseen connection,s associated with pulling the trigger obviously!. I really want to learn more about this stuff
