  • So what's the best gbb smg/ gbbr out there on the market for under £350 at the moment?

Ahhh okay, thanks for the advice!

Just seen GHK are also making some changes for the 2014 version of the g5 so holding off would be better anyway as by the time you go to get one, the updated one should be out/

    CaptainDumbass
    really? great, ill wait! :D

Okay I am a complete n00b with AEG gearboxes and internals so this will probably be a stupid question: what's the difference between speed and torque in gears/pistons/motors/etc??

    Tariq
    Tariq
Fast rate of fire for CQB? Surely it's single shot for CQB, and you want trigger responce not ROF.

    CaptainDumbass
    CaptainDumbass
nope, my local and UCAP Bunker (about 30 mins drive away) allow full auto as long as we dont use box mags and dont "spray and pray"

god, too many people telling me different things. so what do i get >.<

    Russe11
    Russe11
get a high speed motor if you want ROF. Torque shouldn't be a big problem unless you put a more powerful spring in.

ROF and trigger response are linked, the faster the ROF, the lower the time between pulling the trigger and the 1st BB exiting the gun.

If you want a better answer start a thread, then you will get the sensible ppl telling you what to do, not just use guys :D

Yesterday was not my lucky day, i had a green gas bottle literally explode in my hands and had to take a trip to hospital with really bad freeze burns....

yeah, all my gas lives in one of those little airsoft innovations gas can thingies, I'd never take a proper bottle out.

    CaptainDumbass
    CaptainDumbass
i could look into one of those but pretty much 90% of the can is covered and protected in my water bottle pouch. it must have been a very lucky shot to do that much damage to the can..! I'm not too sure if it even the reason the can blew up, its just the most logical explanation i can think of... haha!

extremely unlucky! ... trigger finger still ok?

f*cking win. Won £500 on a scratch card my aunt got me, I see a polarstar engine for my scar coming my way!!

    Airsoft-Ed
You'll probably still need to put some cash towards it to get it running. £450 will get you the Fusion Engine itself, but you'll be looking at another £200 or more for the regulator, air tank etc.

The important point was 'as long as you know what you're looking for' Also I find the guy who does their video reviews quite funny, especially when hes reviewing the really bad guns.

I met the guy doing the reviews at a skirmish the other weekend. Nice bloke, lent me and a couple of other people kit.

best 300 - 360 mm precision inner barrel for under £60???

    TacMaster
    TacMaster
Probably. i'd just get a madbull if you aren't doing a DMR or sniper project anyway

    M_P
    M_P
yeah for a normal assault rifle i'd just go madbull or prommy if you can find one though they tend to be out of stock a lot.

okay fellas, thanks alot. My xmas bonus was way more than i expected so i have about £60 spare. i thought id pimp up my scars internals ^-^

Not too sure if this is a really stupid question or not, would a gbb glock slide (with feeding system, barrel, etc still installed) be damaged in any way if put in a laser cutter? tempted to engrave mine!!

    AK47frizzle
soooo, how'd you get hold of a laser cutter?

I spent 4 years undercover with the Taliban in Israel. I was once Osama Bin Ladens personal assistant. I eventually traded the millions of bananas he paid me in for two goats. I then sold their cheese for 8 years to afford a jetski. Once I finally traveled back to the uk I sold the jetski for a laser cutter.

Is anyone selling spare marui/WE glock mags or the small plate/cover thingy that goes on the bottom of the mag!?!?

    would a 9.9 LiFe Po Battery tear up a standard g&g version 2 gearbox/internals??

    CaptainDumbass
    CaptainDumbass
aye i heard about it, mine is a g&g scar L, its not a budget-like gun like the combat machines but ive never heard it to be called a top-tech, should be okay considering i will still mainly use it on semi as i play cqb more often than woodland

    TacMaster
    TacMaster
Fair enough, it won't add too much stress if you're mainly using semi

A mate of mine ran a CM16 with 9.9v LiFes without issue, it ought to be fine.

The downside to owning a motorcycle and not a car.... Getting to my local airsoft site ... :c

    CaptainDumbass
    CaptainDumbass
I don't think that would go with a KTM duke... XD

buy an SMG and a decent backpack... everything should fit in it and you're laughing :D

    two_zero
    two_zero
except motorcycle beats car any time (except possible in the winter^^).

SMG? I pop my AKMS into a backpack no problemo.

very tempted to sign up for the Air Corps. who wouldnt want to fly gunner/pilot in helicopters for 50-60k a year?!?!

    jcheeseright
    jcheeseright
I should really caveat this with the statement that my knowledge and experience is largely Royal Navy and Royal Marines biased but that I do have a fair amount of daily interaction with the Army Air Corps (mongs, the lot of them). If in any confusion at all contact your local Armed Forces Career Office who will be entirely happy to help.

i second aac are mongs. in the army chopper pilots must be a certain height and weight with a certain arm length. if you join as an officer you have to interview for corps and regiments AFTER you start training. the mostbhigly regarded positions are AAC and royal engineers. also recruitment offices lie worse than a cheap whore. ask any soldier. i have recently left army so can answer some Qs you have

Possible broken arm, en route hospital. f*cking brilliant. Hours after booking and paying for this weeks weekender. Pissed off is an understatement

Dirt jumping accident, it's definitely broken.

With the pain I'm in and the fact I literally cannot move my left arm without being in agony, I definitely cannot hold a rifle!

What did the hospital say? :(

Well GTA V is in my possesion. Goodbye life, goodbye girlfriend, goodbye family, goodbye airsoft. I doubt I'll be back..... =D

pppfffftt... i don't see how 12 year olds in my school are able to get a hold of a copy... I mean... what kinda of psychological torture have their children done to make them buy them a copy? Me personally, I have no interest in these games.
