Bolt action rifles aren't for everyone and aren't for every situation. With how airsoft technology has come along, bolt actions don't really give many advantages over other platforms, beyond a few extra metres of range (as HPA rigs are just as quiet, if not quieter than bolt actions, and with a really superb quality hop up, the range difference between sniper, DMR and AEG are not that huge).

That being said, I love mine because I like bolt action rifles myself. I have two VSRs with completely different builds. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine :D

I agree, especially when we tend to measure everything in "airsoft metres"..those "80M" kills are probably actually much closer to 50 etc. However I like the way this looks and feels. Plus enjoy seeing my target down the scope, it does have that extra joule of energy when firing and overall it just offers a different way to play, even if that "mode" tends to be slightly more difficult.

After months of telling myself that I don't want a massive fat scope... I now want a massive fat scope after seeing yours. ?‍♂️

Working on a bolt action is relaxing, and opposed to AEGs where you have some limitations, you can really get creative with DIY stuff.

Also the role is great, mainly because it's much harder to play than the average AEG Joe.

Getting a 2nd boltie soon as well.

BASR's are a work of art. They require so much love, sweat, blood, tears and money to get them brilliant. I also admire people like @Skara the most, those who are 1J limited yet field them on a level playing field against AEG's. You really do have to be a next level tier to do that.

I am glad to have finally ordered a second bolt action rifle myself. My MB09 is actually really good and lifts .48's like a champ, but I wouldnt actually rely on it not to break!

Hopefully the SRS will be with me by the end of the month!

There is some very visceral about being able to hit someone with just one shot that is much more rewarding then with an AEG.

Gas bolts are the most fun :))))

Yup.

We (at least I do) work more on making rifles as quiet as humanly possible (mk23 levels of quiet) while still retaining a small edge over regular AEGs due to heavy bbs and hop "advantages" like R-Hops or ML rubbers.

I'm not a particularly good sniper though, I mess up so many shots because I'm not patient/skilled enough, plus my field sucks balls for sniping. If I manage to hit 5 people throughout the day I'm happy :D

@Asomodai - Exactly that! I mean so what if I manage to hit two or three guys running towards me when I've had to spray 50 BB's to do it and I can't seem the shots land properly anyway.

I have a Maruzen Type 96 sat gathering dust..... I only ever used it once and forgot I even had it....  However I do like the look of yours.... very nice indeed! And it's 120 fps more than mine....!
