Not sure why the email said personal as it's a very generic code! Ah well, my UKARA ran out a while back so cant buy anything interesting anyway

Thanks for the heads up. Might get some gear on order that I've been looking at

Well; you buy several at a time, not just one. ;)

Most retailers nowadays have £5-9 postage regardless of what it is or how much it weighs.

I've paid £6 postage for a single hop bucking before, so £7 for several kilos worth of ammo is a bargain, TBT.

Unfortunately; if you have to use Bios, then things aren't on your side.

    You'll either get

    a) Cheap ammo with cheap postage = bad quality & will ruin your weapon

    B) Cheap ammo & lots of postage = You're screwed unless you order in quantity or live near the supplier

    c) Costly ammo & free/cheap postage = Hopefully good quality, but bad if you pray & spray.

IMO, Ammo is in the same category as barrels: you *can* buy cheap, but don't complain when things don't work out well.

Held a Ares TAR-21 today..I know they're crap internally but ergonomically it's pretty much perfect for me. Is there only a sportline version or is there a proline as well? Struggling to find it if there is.

Never been a fan of blow back anyway, something I tend to avoid in guns to be honest

    S
    Sitting Duck
me too - either flies/falls to bits or on G&G's blowback boxes can cause cracking of shell much earlier than non-blow-back boxes

pistols might be different but aeg's - nah its fine, it's my toy gun so I will jolt the thing in my hand as I shoot peew peew poww poww peew peew

Hahaha, good I'm not the only one who does this then :D

Spend ages rebuilding a v2 gearbox just to discover I cant fit the motor in with the 16awg silver plated wiring I'd installed, f*cking f*ck.

Going to file out the grip, tested it with a magpul one and that fitted ok as they were smart enough to leave more room...

Quite a lot has gone wrong with this rebuild..planned on using the stock piston + bushings, piston was glued to the head and one of the copper bushings is chipped. Cabling's been a massive pita, had to dremmel out part of the gearbox and now I've got to file out the grip as well.. Hate v2's so much :P

Is lithium grease (with Teflon) OK as gear lubricant? As long as it's kept away from any o-rings that is.

it sure is. I've used it many times works perfect. Tech-T Gun Sav is pretty good as well. works better on HPA setups but it should be ok

Grand, that saves me a few quid, cheers much!

It's actually bicycle grease, but good enough I guess.

It's one of those rare wonders when you get a cheque in the post from HMRC.

Lucky. Last letter I got was a bill for £500.

Just saw video on the new asg Wesson revolvers with adjustable hop, really want one.

    Adam3088
    Adam3088
Sounds tricky, is it taken from another pistol or entirely home made?

Been dieing to get a full metal revolver with a proper hop for ages. Just hope the new Wesson's are half decent.

Anyone here got black Revision BulletAnt goggles that they'd like to swap for tan?

Going to order a new set of camo this month, either tigerstripe, flecktarn, Polish K93 or plain black. Not sure what to get though, needs to match OD gear. (form over function)

That feeling when you've dismantled a midcap and finally gotten everything back in the case after 30 minutes of pratting around with springs.

    Adam3088
    Adam3088
Think I've got the knack for dytac mids now, second one was a helluva lot easier. But damn are these things poorly designed.

    S
    Sitting Duck
Wow my Dytac's M4 hi-caps are lovely, better than my ICS, SRC & even some G&G stock mags, only got a few makes of mid caps but some of them miss feed when they get near the last 25%. poxy mag problems

    Adam3088
    Adam3088
On mine the wedge bit which stops bb's from ejecting doesn't come back far enough, stops them from seating in the magwell fully. I have to strip down each one, dremmel out the block which the wedges spring sits on and then put it all back together.

I've also had to round off the top edge of the magazines as otherwise they can stick a bit when going past the magazine release lever.

Tried them on a G&G, WE and King Arms, all had the same problem.

Anyone know where you can get a lanyard plug which would fit a G19? Canne find one anywhere.

Finally get a box of dytac mids, turns out they dont fit in open pouches very well. Sonofab*tch.

    Josh95
    Josh95
ram them in, then leave them in there for a week or soo. The pouches will loosen

Need a recommendation for a bog standard non-braking mosfet, just to save on trigger contacts. Dont really fancy making one myself due to being lazy.

Well that was good timing, AirFET it is then! :P

    Thanks

    S
    Sitting Duck
Airfet one is a good 3034 one and guy knows his $hit. You can build it for about £4 or £5 using a GENUINE 3034 - loads of snide ones out there that melt very quickly.

But for just over a tenner is perfect for buying 1 or 2

    Adam3088

    All done, AirFET ordered.

    Thanks

Anyone tried the Warrior Assault systems gloves?

    Adam3088
    Adam3088
I've read some very mixed reviews of genuine oakleys, some guys in Afghanistan had real problems with them.

Camelbak ones look good, but yeah, pricey.

Pentagon have some reasonably prices gloves, no idea if they're any good though.

Those Macwet gloves that Pro Airsoft sell look interesting. Had my Oakleys about a year now with no issues, but have heard of build quality issues on some.

First days airsoft in a couple of months, M4 shooting at 150fps, F2000 not feeding properly, lost a KSC G19 mag (the only one that didnt leak). BIG SUCCESS!

having one them months for a while - but a fortnight ago a guy at my local was on his 2nd spare by lunchtime so it happens to us all

I had one of those days yesterday; brought 3 AEGs, with the M4 as last resort in case the other two were playing up...I ended up having to use the M4...

I made a thread for this: "The What Have You Just Broken Thread" - share ur pain, share ur solutions

So I had this idea of cutting the mesh out from a flash hider and replacing it with 2 or 3mm polycarbonate, reckon it would work/be strong enough?

Problem I find is that it reduces incoming light by quite a lot, unless the target's well lit you can't see it with your right eye.

i emailed that ebayer and they say they will cut it into circles for us - woohoo!

Nice! Was planning on getting a t1 for my m4 so that'll be very handy. Not decided how to fix it in yet, might try impact adhesive.
