  • To people who have a spring l85: Where did you get it?

Your 13 right? It is still reasonable for your mother to keep you away from these things, but as we all said, wait a little longer. Springers get boring real fast because of all the manual work. Since I'm nearly 17 (2 weeks), my parents aren't giving a crap anymore and i've already spent upwards of £500 on airsoft.

sneak into town, get a stranger to buy a gun (18+ and two tone ofc (like buying booze underage) and then pay them. Run home hide it and never get caught. Guaranteed 100% not to work. Also I do not buy booze xD

    Haha, I wish!

    Actually...no I don't lol.

James, have a look online for the B26C airsoft pistol. It's a full metal springer Glock 17 which comes with two mags. Built like a tank, will last you years. Shoots 250fps and is accurate too. I take one to skirmishes as a back up. And I've had plenty of kills with it too, I even beat a guy who was shooting at me with an M249.

One of my excuses for needing it was for the l98 weapon at cadet, it would help me pass the test. A Glock however lol. I will try, some of the videos make it seem like it really is a tank!

Medal Of Honour 2010 has a gerat multiplayer even now! Also, very close to completing my cap gun to bb gun transformation. (It can be fed a clip :D )

Haha I tried that once, great sound but I can lob bbs further than it can blast them.

I had a plastic cap gun revolver once, I hollowed out the barrel and rammed BBs down the front of the cylinder and used the pressure from the caps going off to fire it.

Actually worked, but the barrel was about 5mm wider than the BBs, so accuracy wasn't really a thing...

That's what I've done! But I've attempted a speed reload mag type of thing.

Decided I want a proper watch instead of a £15 one every year and a bit. Are G-shock a good choice? Are the cheaper ones anygood (lower than £80)?

Luminox may be good, but they're not exactly cheap!

only thing wrong with G-Shock is they don't like Makita tools / the only more user friendly watch i've had was a really decent fake rolex with self wind, nr sweep, etc & all steel frame so it didnt look too bad either - got stolen :(

Got an old g-shock which must be about 10 years old now, still working perfectly. Found it too bulky though. Also got a Fossil which is a nice watch.

How is airsoft better than paintball? (Question not meanly said no answer one lol)

I can confirm what Sitting Duck said as I used to play there on my birthday.

Paintball is okay, but you get covered in crap, and it doesn't always wash out properly: Had a nice M65 O/D combat jacket ruined by paintball paint which wouldn't wash out properly.

more chill and lower running costs. Plus we got RIFs :)

More offensive than feeling the need to imply i'm a "thick fecker" purely for attempting to inject a bit of levity?

Anyway, I'll leave it there I'm not getting into an argument about this.

    Chock

So it's only levity when you do it, but it's a personal implication when I do it eh?

Let's just leave it there shall we? It was meant in jest, if you took offence then I apologise.

Parents say airsoft is too realistic, errrrrr I'm struggling for a counter agument...

Get an airsoft grenade and roll it into the room when your parents are having Xmas dinner and yell 'fire in the hole!' When the BBs hit them, point out that your were able to get a two kills without pointing a gun at them and no guns were pointed at you either. Sorted.

A bit of sideways thinking, but maybe the best way to convince them that it's so far away from the real thing is to actually take them for a game? Let them see for themselves? Could be both hilarious and educational...

And, more importantly, when else are you going to get the chance to shoot your parents in the face?

Wow, just seen Ian Geres signature.....the bullets make it look fantastic!!

it looks fab. thou I generally tend to hate bullets in shots except for in mags. it looks forced often ("look how real I totally am!!") - who scatters a few random bullets on their real gun/loadout? the way Ian done it looks natural thou!

    Ian_Gere
    Ian_Gere
I did just drop them - then i put Morena on top afterwards so she is partly covering up where the bullets landed so altho i had a composition in mind, the way it turned out is random

After the recent finding out that MOHW is a wee bit crap, I'd like to know if there are any good fps ps3 games out there apart from bf, cod and MOH....If you know please say!

A good game I played recently on xbox was James Bond Bloodstone, I'm not sure if available on PS3 but if it is, it's definitely worth playing.

If you happen to have missed it, then I'd recommend you play Spec Ops: The Line. You will learn more about the true nature of warfare and how it relates to video games than you may find comfortable if you do so. It's a real eye opener and will explain to you why you think most FPS war games are ultimately a bit crap.

Errr, herby derby........Anyone know what all this shizz about having to have an online code to access MOH warfighter multiplayer?

Anyone had a GBB luger po8? Or any luger po8?

When you eventually get around to buying into airsoft, just get a CM16......a lot of the 'speciality' WWII guns are shite. The Stens, M3 Grease Guns and Thompsons are your best bet for starting WWII airsoft when you get around to it.

Not actually a Luger, but it's kind of got that look, is the KJ Works Mk1 'Ruger'. It may be a bit hot for some sites with light BBs, but it's an excellent and simple GBB pistol and only costs about 40 quid too.

Sorry for off topic ness: To those who have been in the army, do you live at home while your in the army for longer than office job etc people would? And, is it selfish me wanting to join the Army as my mum and dad keep saying about how upset they'd be?

    skeeter
    skeeter
If yku are sure that the army is what you want, then go for it. If you don't then later on in life you may regret it. I know this from experience. Your parents should realise that, at some stage, you will fly the nest. BUT talk it over with em a lot before you make your final decision. At the end of the day, the decision will be yours.

You don't really live at home just visit your parents at week ends ect as you will get army accommodation, once your out of training nearly all units now have one man en suite rooms.

If you are seriously considering what your parents are saying then (not wanting to be an ass here..) maybe your not mature enough at the moment to make that decision...just putting it out there.
