    wish there was a way to check if my ukara is still active.  I requested an extention, and got the affirmative from the site.  but no email follow up to say it was done.  Risky to buy from hong kong without knowing

    Ignoring the boot drama in GenHelp.  Good day at the MAW, shottie ran well and the ZCI barrel I put in the M16 is for the trash.  Put a maple leaf in it and the difference is night and day

    Whats the opinions on VFC GBBr's?  eyeing the M16a1/XM177e2 at the moment.  its a brand i have not had any dealings with so far

    I'd love an MWS for it.  but paying £800 for the a1 receiver, £120 for the stock and £300 for the m16 front end aaaand the £400 base gun a bit steep.  If TM did an M16 gbb then i wouldnt hesitate to get it

    As GiantKiwi suggested, use a WE as a base. I've built 4 L119's based on WE M4's and they are great. Performance is excellent, parts are cheap if required and easy to get and real steel stock tubes , stocks, grips etc fit.

    sooo, somehow bent in one of the prongs of my tm recoil mk18.... considering how thick it is, i am amazed, anyone done this and successfully bent it back? its too narrow now for bbs.  It makes a good tuning fork as it is now

    the flash hider? i suppose you can unscrew it, clamp the base with a vice (wrap it with something soft), and try to bend the prong back out

    just don't try to bend it back while it's on the gun to avoid collateral damage

    run down to todays game.  M16 zci inner barrel clean did not fix the woeful scatter gun accuracy.  it was fine the first 3 outings.  might try and get a new hop rubber. unless this is the cautionary tail for zci QC.

    Also, one of my tm 5-7 mags seems to have had the seal blow at the top. it was stored containing ASG matinence gas. so thats another thing to fix...

    Anyone else buy that 3d printed pistol stand from the midlands airsoft fair?  being told it is made to fit any double stack pistol, it was 3mm too wide for a M9, P226, Grach, 5-7, G19 and desert eagle...  it was cheap, and after a time with a dremmel it works great. but amazed at how off the fitment was

    well, compared to the G&P vn mags, the plastic top was double the thickness on the Nuprols.  a file down later as @Rogerborg said and its a tight fit, but they go in with a love tap and feed now.

    Anyone regularly use FBS Ball Grenades?  i brought 3 from jdairsoft, and on two of them the fuse blew when i pulled the ring and didnt dentonate beyond.  only 1 out of 3 worked... bit of an unreasonable failure rate

    True, but as a consumer im not going to continue purchasing them when I have had a failure rate of 66.66%.  £11 wasted...

    I'm hoping others who have used them more may corroborate my experiance or make out that I have just been unlucky so far...

    Never had an issue with FBS ball grenades not going off.  I believe the ring pull pyro need to be pulled in a specific direction/way to ignite properly which is why I stick with the striker top version. I made velcro patches of striker paper I put on my gear so even if I lose the striker top of the grenade, I can still light it.

    funny how in my early airsoft 'career' i amassed a plethora of nimh batteries of all different sizes.  now i just put the same 7.4 lipo in basically everything but the couple of pews that wont fit them

    I donated all my nimh batteries to my local site to use in their rentals. I only use an AK so i use the same slim stick lipo for them all

    Nice to see royal mail working well.  Two orders were due today.  The parcel from AK2M4 arrived fine.  The tracked 24hr package from bullseye was due today.  But the last update was 'arrived at your local depot' at 9am this morning.... all I wanted to fit my new barrels tonight so i can test my pews while home alone

    Mine have been fine so far, though only fitted two so far. What were the complaints?  If it's diameter discrepancy, I won't be able to check that

    loads of reports of bb crud build up, although it could be from people not cleaning their pipes properly.  personally i always cleaned mine after every game-day.  what could be happening with zci is the molds they use need replacing.  this is why I've invested quite a lot in getting my own made now under the XT brand.  if you haven't already seen check out the borescope video

    whats the verdict on PPS barrels? and maple leaf? not touched the latter since buying a crazy jet on a dmr years ago (long since sold on that pew)

    It's quite common for them not to fit together at all, and it's also quite common for them to fit together just enough to visually fit, but not be able to fire properly

    5 weeks since my ankle got twisted after being run into at the MAW and now I can be upright without swelling. 

    Heres to hoping I can run around the woods again soon (or im going to have one massive but sad carboot sale)

    ZCI barrel and maple hop fitted into the cyma ak fine with some minor gains.  267-273fps went up to 293-304fps.  Would have liked more, curious as to the increased bracket of fps too. 

    Wonder what it means for my cylinder volume, would a shorter or longer barrel of the same narrowed diameter have provided better gains?  its gone from a 6.03 or 6.08x450 (sources vary depending on patrol base or taiwangun) to a 6.02x450.

    If cyma made the cylinder volume a perfect match, I guess I should try a slightly longer barrel...

    Worked out something, Ignore patrol bases information.  its a 500mm stock barrel, so mine is 50mm shorter.... no wonder i didnt get the jump i expected... guess i'll put the 450 in my l85

    review of the Specna Arms easy change spring... its a lie.  It doesnt count when you need to take the gear box out of the receiver... or try to, realising you need to by the worlds smallest allen key to remove a grub screw from the mag release

    managed it, now im going to be paranoid about movement in the motor grip. im sure i reseated it correctly though ?

    Motor height adjustment is also threadlocked in.... is that from specna arms or JDAirsoft?

    SA-H04, the 416 version with the funky stock, so in that regard, its self inflicted.  The anoyance was getting so far before realising the mag release was held in by the worlds smallest grub screw causing me the scavenge neighbours allen key sets
