Both my M249 and , I believe, my Umarex MP9 are VFC. Love them both. The mp9 works perfectly well as a woodland primary and the 249 is just bloody awesome.

For M4's are now in 3 different generations with multiple sub generations, equaling a convoluted clusterfuck of incompatibility.

All have an endemic problem with barrel droop thanks to a stupid design where the outer barrel is held in place by 2x m3 grub screws. There are many posts daily bitching about the barrel droop.

Oh and exploding hop units, but thats a VFC speciality across the board.

So in summary, just like their AEG's, very lovely externals that do not compensate for fairly meh internals, but expect to replace everything required for operating at a fairly alarming rate.

If you're set on the M16A1/XM177, you're better off building from a WE, at least then you're not paying hyperinflated prices for trades, and it doesn't have flaws which can't be rectified unless you have a mortgage to pay for it.

i have a VFC Bcm, i wont lie its not the best the hop unit is awful and needs replacing fairly early on, the internals are mostly steel which is cool but honestly if you want performance and reliability just grab an mws and build an m16 from that
