  • First outing with a DMR this weekend. Wow! now I need to spend big bucks on 36's as the 32's just seemed to be falling short.

Mmm, there's quite a jump in price between .32 and .36, I'm still too cheap to make the leap.  If you splash the cash, it would be great to get an airsoft-metres estimate of how much more effective range you see from them.

@Rogerborg I was looking at pricing last night, 32s about £15 for 3000, 36's I was like oooo £18 that's not bad, yeah for 1000 not 3000 ? Comparitive brand. Cheapest I've found so far is Blaster Devils for £23 for 3000.
Site I played was a 450 DMR limit, I want to see how different a 400 site feels with the same 32's.

@Rogerborg to answer your question with the ol' range study spreadsheet @400fps equivalence (1.49j) .36's come out at 1.88m further for the "effective range" criteria, which is a hop set for 20cm of rise and the range calculated for when the bb drops back down to the firing level.

0.48's using the same criteria are 6.21m further.

of course that's assuming that the extra hop needed isn't dropping the energy, which in reality may or may not end up being more important than the theoretical improvement.

New gameplay now live ! @Rogerborg has already picked me up on a bad habit so please go easy ?

That guy's a dick though, I wouldn't pay any attention to him and his bitter ranting.  That looks like a really fun site and game.

I mean if you're just gonna rip out the internals and shove a hpa engine in it, just pick any skin that you like.

Mmm, I'm not sure why you wouldn't just go for the cheapest metal bodied shell that you can find.

I have no idea. Was cheapest 14" rail I found on looking at one site ? Have changed tact to a G&G SRXL though now ?

@ak2m4 chatting with them it was a horse dressage practise barn. The flooring is completely dirt with rubber over it. All structures are mostly pallet and canvas, they have truly done an amazing job. So glad it's so local to me.

Thank you for the watch btw ?

I'm super impressed, I was wondering if the floor had rubber chips on it.  I've been following these guys on their FB page.  Need more sites like this.

Today is new CQB day! So hyped! Day booked off work, can't wait to get on site!

    Hi

Morning people, I'm not one for heartfelt stuff but I am one for keeping your mind "right". Last week I had a shit time mentally and having people to interact with on here helped. Thank you all.

That's the benefit of being part of the whole. The forum being the whole.

Like minded folk with crazy ideas and wants, who can talk gibberish and still be understood cause at the end of the day we all talk the same gibberish.

Some more than others of course!?

As @Lozartsays "it's good to talk"

    My rates are:

    £45 per hour standard

£50 per hour if you want me to listen.

    £60 if you want answering.

I couldn't take 34 seconds of the soundtrack, if I had been previously subbed I'd have probably deleted my youtube account and started again.

    @miserydrift thank you ?

@jcheeseright I assure you it's just as good if you mute it! Future plans are full game vids to have voiceovers bit small montages to have "varying" soundtracks, already been flagged for copyright so only matter of time before it gets removed.

There is more to this story, it started in August with an order in the US. IT has progressed, taken months, wrong item sent, new order placed from Japan and now customs charges no doubt from some pencil neck who is on point as we've now Brexit'd and is trying to justify his new job role.

FFS! Hands up who's sick of COVID19 now?

as well as that, i also have to deal with.... wife a teacher and kids at school.... they should keep them shut until the idiot numbers come out after the illegal NY celebrations and xmas and see where we stand towards end of Jan!.... im also a chairman of local U7 to UI18 football teams and we are still allowed to play games and train....so travel within tiers....which isnt allowed under Government rules....FA are a bunch of muppets!. They also need to halt sport as they have done for over 18s! ?‍♂️

Id feel safer out in the field, tales im many meters from people and in control!

Waited 3 months for an inner barrel from the US and they've sent the wrong one ?

    @rocketdogbert Brill Armoury.

@hitmanNo2 Thankfully not, it came labelled as "steel tube" for $12

@GAMBLE X-Fire are awesome and send everything on 7 day EMS speedpost. Even if it takes 2 weeks I don't care. I just want my barrel so I can rebuild my capa.

Mood = Low. Outlook for today = Meh. Then my X-Fire order arrived and I'm all ??????

    Hi @Steveocee! ?

Lucky you, my orders I planned last month and at the beginning of this month, all refunded due to problems on their end! ??

Try and get them in 2021! ?

    Have fun! ??

@GAMBLE Ah man that's too bad. If it makes you feel any better I've got an order outstanding from Brill Armory over in the US which was placed in October, made it to Belarus really quickly and has been there for well over a month now?

One advantage of ordering from X-Fire is they charge you for EMS speedpost on every order so you know you're getting it quite quickly.

Also, FRV are offering 30% off today with CM20. Crazy pricing!

I tried the polymer variant previously and it was 'fine'. I know they get a lot of praise, largely for quality versus cost. I've certainly used better (though these were either more expensive, or harder to source), and I've certainly used worse. The part I was least impressed by was the inner belt, which may be more a case of having used what I feel to be much better designed inner belts rather than it being objectively poor. I was toying with trying out the metal buckle version and just using a different inner... but managed to catch myself before falling for the trap of buying something I really don't need because it's cheaper.

Thanks to you, I just spent £200ish on a tank, line, regulator and SDiK bolt for the VSR

Damn it, why did you have to say that highpressureairsoft were having deals? xD

    Steveocee
    Steveocee
@Impulse you're victim number 2 that's owned up then lol.

If you want it and it's cheaper then it was the right time.

And in my defence your name is impulse, I wouldn't imagine you not to be impulsive lol

    Impulse
    Impulse
Well, I've already been using my VSR with a Wolverine Bolt and CO2 adapter, but I wanted to try the Mancraft kit too as it doesn't need a battery and is half the price of the Bolt M. Also, this lets me just use an HPA tank and never worry about having to change out those damn CO2 bulbs every few mags. It also dictates that my next big purchase will be a Polarstar engine for one of my m14s, so I can run it as a HPA DMR. Silence, range, semi-auto ROF... I think it'll be my scariest gun. I might keep it at 1J so I don't get the 30m MED as my 1J AEG m14 can out-range most bolties at my local field, but with a regulator I can make that decision easily without having to open up the (horrible) v7 gearbox to swap springs out. Yes, I have 2 m14s, what of it?! xD

Hey, I'm the picture of self-control! I didn't even renew my UKARA because I refuse to buy new RIFs until I've either paid all my debts or hit my target weight.
