It's a shame that there are so many talentless, uncharismatic, uninteresting and generally untalented people so desperate to gain attention for their page/channel that they resort to negative, clickbait or straight up trolling videos. Note none of these or KM's video titles are "A Great Day of Action at..." It's all "..and they thought airsoft was supposed to be fun, mwahaha ?", "I destroy noobs with this overpowered gun" or  "HATED HEADSHOT COMPLIATION ?!"

Positive titles don't attract anyone.

I mean, who the fuck wants to see people having fun and laughing?

What we really need is more fighting and arguing to show your cock's bigger than your enemy's and be an AlPhA mAlE while shooting plastic bbs with your friends :D

We need more airsoft SJWs, that's what we need :D

The market kind of is to blame, funny really how in our entertainment we want all the things you dont want to see in real life.

People abhor violence murder etc in their real lives but are more than happy to watch some bloke get burned alive on CSI.

Its unfortunate really that the good bits of airsoft make lousy watching and the bad bits of airsoft make for entertainment.

Having played there and had that guy as a marshal I am unsurprised. The game I played was chaotic as hell with no one really knowing what they were supposed to be doing, different answers to the same questions given to different players etc.

Marshal was totally in the wrong for grabbing the camera, both were taking fire (say a lot about a site when players talking to marshals get shot at too) and if grabbing the camera had taken down face/eye pro could have ended badly. Would have ended badly if a marshal made a grab like that on me thats for sure.

However, yes player was being a dick for shooting from the spawn and moaning hes getting shot. Dont shoot out or in a spawn, yeah the enemy shouldnt have been shooting him, but then he was engaging back and could have ran to other cover, ducked out etc.

Also the video cuts in strange ways to show what the player wants us to see. The chronoing a gun after he says he wants to go home is VERY strange, and I wouldnt have let him chrono my gun if I was leaving.

A fair few things dont add up here and both are to blame imo (not excusing the marshal though, I didnt take to him when I met him)

Shit like this and the 'drama' is the reason I only go to themed historical events where it is very few and far between.  Gentlemen, I present to you Airsoft Skirmishes in the UK 2020....both are idiots, the marshall and especially the player.

I actually thought @Skara was posting this because he is the Marshall ?

Whats the law in terms of being filmed on private land? this has always interested me as when you sign on to most events be that Airsoft or anything else you usually agree to the site taking photos or videos and that they can be shared but never anything about others filming you and gaining financially from it (specifically speaking about KM here)

Cr0-Magnon

@clumpyedge - I did wonder the same. I'm not a parent but believe there are strictly imposed restrictions on who can film and what they can film when it comes to school plays etc? Yet anyone can strap on a GoPro and film an event at which under 18's make up a significant number, then post the footage online?

The guy listed the video as private now xD

i'd assume an airsoft site would count as public? the land is private but as it's been run by a business that generally lets anyone show up i can't see it being any different than say the supermarket in the purely legal sense.

@Cr0-Magnonpersonally I couldn't care less if I am filmed but the way the marshal knocks the camera down (some say assault, I would argue he didn't give his permission to be filmed) but I agree with your point, people sign to say they are happy (how that would stand up in court I don't know) to be filmed or photographed by the site but players strapping cameras all over them is a different matter in my eyes especially when they are mocking or belittling people in clickbait titles (again more directed to players, not the one as the matter of discussion for this thread)

@Skaraprobably realized hes come across like a complete bellend.

@clumpyedge - Yeah my only issue is people aren't ever going to intentionally upload footage that makes themselves look bad. You could punch someone in the face and start the footage with them coming at you or edit out parts of the conversation to change the narrative.

You just described every single airsoft video on social media in the last 4 years.

@clumpyedge. I ‘think’ from what we’re told in work Ref patients/relatives filming , if it’s a public Space anyone bar a minor is fair game , private property again unless it’s a minor , the site has posted a ‘no filming without permission sign or the The player has informed you they do not want to be filmed then everyone is fair game as they’ve attended a public event even though it’s on private property . Gets a bit foggy if it’s a members only site as the rules are different yet again !

@Druid799interesting the difference between public and private property, I would have thought that at the very least a person would have to ask permission at the start of the day if they are allowed to film given that they may per chance get minors on film. Case in point I have seen a few videos from various 'softers that do look to have people under the age of 16 (if that's the age of a minor) also with clickbait titles. I guess for the most part you could argue that they (through rules of the site) have the majority of their faces covered but that still doesn't negate the fact they haven't given permission to be filmed....

@clumpyedgeThink it’s like the baofeng radio situation  , a hell of a lot of players use them but how many can hold there hand up and say “I’ve got a licence for it”  even though it’s a legal requirement to use one ? Not many I’d wager . AND because we all live in a real fish bowl now that everyone with phones thinks there a camera man most people just ‘assume’ they can film what they like on a gameday because of this very reason . But legally you can’t without prior consent , though most I’d think would probably be able to claim ‘implied consent’ because no one ever does say anything about being filmed or not (I’ll be honest I’ve never heard the subject mentioned) but if someone does says even after the event “I didn’t want to be filmed” then if you refuse to remove them from what you’ve filmed if they wanted to spend the time and effort they could open a legal case against you , but would they ? that’s the question you’ve got to ask your self , plus when it comes down to it most players I think would do it just so there not called a t’wat from there on .

If you are in public you can legally film anything you can see.police stations, mod property, hospitals etc. The eyes cannot be trespassed.

Photography is not a crime.

There is no right to privacy in public.

Private property is a different case though and permission needs to be asked and you can be asked to stop if anyone objects.

I dont mind being filmed though cause it makes me realise what a dick I'm being! ??

Not completely true but I see your point (sorry I'm going to be pedantic), case in point some places i.e. MOD sites and police stations to name but a few could potentially have no fly zones. Some Airsofters that use drone footage for the start of their videos could fall foul of that also.

From a public place you can film anything your eyes can see.

Check out Auditing Britain on the tube.

Many 'Auditors' exercise that right and are told by police/officials that it is not against the law. They dont like it but not a lot they can do.?
