Hey guys, just recently joined the forum

I just saw news of Silverback releasing a VKS bolt action replica and I wanted to know your thoughts on it!

I'm a huge fan of its comically large suppressor and it generally being a cool bit of history
totally not because its a bullpup

What do you guys think of it?

My only thoughts are "Damn, I wish it was an actual 1:1 replica"

I think they've literally only just hit the market properly so I can't imagine many people have had the chance to field them yet - That being said, silverback have a good history of solid replicas so I can only assume this is no different 😂

I want to get one, but i'd need to get my hands on it first before buying to see if its even practical (very long arms).

What makes it not 1:1? I'm curious to know

I'm more of a "eh, close enough" kinda guy but it still interests me to see how close they can get to it

My birthday just passed and I've got money to burn ,ahem, I mean use wisely
but even still I'm a sucker for feedback and I'm probably gonna wait for news of a HPA version

I think only select stores/people have them right now as they are preorder until Sept. I know airsoft Cam man has done a review and gameplay with it. I was excited for it to start but I just got done fully doing my T41 so seems silly to buy another sniper lol I am very indecisive so creating a choice between rifles isnt good for me lol

I answered that in the other VKS post here;

But other than that its spot on 😜

PS I want a vks suppressor to put on other guns, obviously im compensating for something.

How are people getting on with these now they're out in the wild? I have spoken with 3 people who own them and 1 is happy, one needs to change the air brake because fps is off and we think it's too big an air brake fitted, and the other has a really bad air seal and may be looking at a possible return to shop or warranty job. Anyone else happy or unhappy with their purchases?

Brilliantly tbh. It outshoots every rifle I have - we took a laser range finder, set a torso sized target up at 92m and sat there plinking at it with only a small amount of holdover. The weight of the rifle does mean you need to upgrade your left arm though haha! Standing shots aren't as easy as say a Tac41L, but if you're set up in a good position where the rifle is supported you can do some really good work...

Build quality has been a little suspect - nothing unusual for Airsoft QC though. Make sure all the bolts are tight, check the bucking (silverback barrel windows are notoriously sharp and cut buckings up even from factory).

How have you found the 3 piece bolt pull? Having to squeeze those each shot is something that has put me off and it doesnt seem as satisfying as cycling a normal bolt back. It seems like a great bit of kit but i have too much time and money investing in my T41 lol
