  • Yup; it's me again :) Having issues with my CAA m4; not feeding properly and sounds like the gearbox is grinding itself to bits when trying to fire downrange, but with an empty/no mag and full battery, its fine. is a hopup replacement in order?

if its new take it back

feeding could be hop but the grinding makes me think tappet not moving 101% correctly to load bb's

grinding could be tappet plate borked/stuck - still getting compression so sector is pulling piston ok atm

Nah its about a few months bought from a friend second hand. somet was gonna come along and eff up eventually. so you reckon its not fully gearbox internal based? ill have to take it down to JD and have em look it over.

Probably best, sounds like tappet plate but I'm still guessing coz not got it here to see/hear for myself

Sent my lonex gearbox off to get fixed with some upgrades :3 hopefully getting a kickass new piston with some ASG gears.....is that good?

Well it got sent off through a friend to a guy who knows his stuff n he's offered to upgrade the gears if necessary; 3 days apparently, so by saturday it should be up and running

Good to know :) ill be sure to keep an eye on it.

Dont spose anyone knows where to buy a decent gearbox for £30-£40? Am eyeing up the SHS V2, but found no reviews...

Finally my UKARA number came through :D I'm about as limited in options as getting the Spectre Status in Mass Effect!

Odd i was thinking of picking up one of those myself; whats it like? and at least its not a VFC MP7: Thing will break down on you in a heartbeat.

atm I still think the rare initial high spec batch of FH's were best. A very loud bitch of a gun, turns heads and a fun gun to own. I'd see if any s/hand FH's come up for sale now the DSG is being released.

Quick question; Anyone know any helmets aside from the FAST or army issued helmets for less than £20?

Ebay it. There are plenty of cheap replica helmets based on everything from WWI helmets to modern stuff.

Depends on the quality you want. You can get a plastic M88 for £12-£15,

Pretty damn chuffed :) got a deal with a guy from fireball's management; Alongside me getting my ukara on the day, also bought a PX4 with 2 mags for £85 ;) registration present galore!

strange, my WE Glocks hop is sh*t too.

probably something you've already done, but I stripped my hop unit out, de greased everything and put it all back together ensuring everything was tight. I had a 1911 which had no lift, turns out the hop lever had slipped of the hop wheel so wasn't actually applying any pressure.

My WE G17 can hit a coke can at around 15-20 meters, which I think is pretty good. It's a US G17, but I doubt that would change anything.

Fireball Squadron on the 10th; Time to test out my MP7 :D Hopefully it's nowhere near 400FPS or i'm gonna cry >.

My only worry is attempting to open the bolt and put in a flute valve, but the internals might not be compatible with the KWA products

Tempted to get the south african assault vest (SAAV); Any recommendations? plus, need to know if it'll hold MP7 mags, or the magazine if possible :P

The cheaper SAAVs aren't particularly tough- the original South African M83 vest would be a better buy if you really like the style and can afford it. As for mag compatibility, the vest's mag pouches are designed for 5.56 size Galil mags, so it'll definitely fit magazines the width of an MP7 mag.

I'm more concerned about the length/height of MP7 and if they'll fit in the mag pouches :P if they can fit an M4 mag or two, wanna compare it to MP7 mags.

Anyone know of any decent tactical MOLLE vests? looking for something semi-cheap and customizable.

If you can push £30 more, I'd recommend a semapo 6094, real multicam, all that good stuff and with more molle real estate than you could ever wish for

Take a look at the Condor or Flyye ranges on Military 1st.

Some interesting vests, especially the WAS product line & Semapo. Condor look decent, but Flyye seem a little too out of my price range with their Military1st products. Appreciate the help! :)

Got my new college course starting on the 21st, yet have a possible game on the 17th. Should I get shot at to have something to talk about? ;)
