Agreed. the cardboard insert was part of what held me back from the M60 as well. I have been looking at getting some plastic sheet and heating and folding something to replace the cardboard. I already run a RPK16 which is an excellent 'pocket' LMG so the big PK is right up my street.

Now that brings a difficult decision, I was about to buy the LCT M60 E4 but that PK is very pretty!
