Lv120 plate carrier set up

I do miss people doing full on impressions, at least online it felt like a real sub culture of the hobby.

Now everyone (me included) just goes in a mash up of whatever.....maybe it's just my rose tinted glasses.

Love the load out by the way, I think it looks great and lots of usable stuff.

i just love larping hahahaha
Which is a perfectly valid reason. Btw if that's a stars and stripes on your left arm? If so it looks like it's the wrong way round, US uniform regs say flag patches on the arm are to be worn as if the flag pole would be at the front of the body

I know what you mean, a well put together impression looks great. Unfortunately I did also notice a certain level of snobbery in some of the themed communities though where newbies would be put down or insulted for simply asking questions.
I've done specific loadouts in the past but always found there was something that I didn't get on with so went back to sticking with what works and I think looks goo

Thank you. Me in particular i enjoy building kits and guns more that actuallly playing hahahah.

There was definitely snobbery on gear, but also poor communication around things which were meant to be helpful. (I suspect the poor communication was due to the medium, online chat with zero tone, than anything else).

Having your kit criticized and picked apart could make someone not like something they've put loads of effort into, so even minor comments meant to help, could be taken as someone being snobby. Putting time, money and effort into something just to have "erm technically this is wrong" is a bit deflating for something they're so passionate about they've taken pictures for a strangers validation.

So short version- great kit, think it looks awesome.

Unfortunately for a certain forum it often went further than constructive criticism with long term members straight up slagging off new members just because they can't ID a unit patch from a blurry black and white photo that's been copied multiple times, or ask for a translation of the label in a vest to tell if it's legitimate or not.

There's a big difference between "actually X is wrong and should be y" is very different to "you're a cunt and look like shit, fuck off and don't come back"
