Does anyone know if this style of stock has a practical reason for the castling joins?
I know the storage space is for batteries but the castling just seems like a dirt collector.

They're expertly designed and made to a tight tolerance to be exactly the right size gap to snatch and pluck your beard hairs every time you shoot it

on the flavour i had (which i think was RS) those tubes were removable.

not sure why they were removable, i guess it's the firearm version of greebling.

On the RS one, they're perfectly sized to hold 3 CR123A's per side, removable so you can access them without needing to look like a numpty bashing the stock into the dirt trying to get the batteries out like normal sopmod stocks.

My second gat was a vltor'd king arms m4.

Ended up i replaced every part but the outer barrel, a rare instance of the phrase "fully upgraded" being true.

Recall i slapped together the old parts into an almost functional gat and sold it.
