One thing I just remembered with E&L was that when using non E&L mags either the mag release catch or mags had to be modified to fit. Personally I chose tomod the mags as I'd rather potentially mess up a mag than the gun. This was years ago though so I don't know if this is still the case

Can confirm - my E&L Krink will eat basically any brand of mag, BUT I almost always have to file the front locking lip on the mag down a little (about a mm at most) on both the front and lower surface.

Take your time, go slow, do it with a hand file. Take a bit off, test it, try again. You'll know immediately when it fits - it will go from (weirdly) feeling like it's too short to fit and not locking in, to locking in fine.

I did find cymas quite tight initially, but they wore in with use.

Some ak mags are definitely more finicky than others even within brands. I had to file down my cyma rpk mags to fit my cyma ak105 and my raptor Molot mags are still a work in progress

That is strange; the Lad and I both have LCT AKs; they feed perfectly happily from CYMA mags, although the Lad uses CYMA mag interiors in genuine shells.

Just to add to this, the only mag which I have found doesn't feed in the lct so far is the one it came with.
