Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic

I actually got caught on camera at a skirmish day, but I'm really liking this setup and it works for pretty much all my guns, so I think it will be the general setup I go for moving forward. Trying to nail down the more civilian look, while remaining mobile and carrying all of my sustainment kit on me for the whole day.

Crafted KMCS boonie (it's the only one that comfortably fits my large bonce, though I haven't tried the newer Novritsch ones yet...)
Crafted Aliexpress cobra hood (probably cost £40 all in, as the crafting materials are mostly Aliexpress too)
Aliexpress repro D3CRH chest rig
IDOGEAR (also Aliexpress...) molle belt
Mil-tec 30L assault pack
Le Covert Sartorialist modular bungee cam on my mk12
With camo trousers (that day was French CCE, but my goal is to lose enough weight to fit the Dutch NFP trousers I want) and a flat olive top. I did some reading around and there's merit to the solid colour under a ghillie argument, plus the loadouts I try and go for are more either civilian contractor or intelligence asset, so avoiding full uniforms is generally how I like to go.

I'm not trying to be invisible and be a slow, full ghillie; I'm trying to break up my silhouette enough to where people don't notice me while keeping mobile and active. It worked really well on that game day, as I had people completely miss me when I was still, but with how lightweight the whole setup was it was easy to keep it on all day and move about without getting caught on anything.

I will probably replace the cheaper and repro stuff with real-steel stuff eventually (like a real Haley Strategic D3CRH and a proper belt kit), but that stuff is expensive. The pack is going to be one of the first things on the chopping block, as I want to get a better one there as it'll make an actual difference with how the weight is carried and I have my eyes on a 5.11 Rush12, as I don't think I need the Rush24. May also replace the hood if I get into more milsims, as I imagine this thing will glow like a Christmas tree under IR illumination with how cheap it all was.

Power limits is a massive one. Not ran into anyone shooting "hot" here, so the impact's far nicer in the soft spots :ROFLMAO:
Overall vibe is a lot better, seems more... "Grown up" even at the more casual sites I've been fortunate enough to visit. I'm someone who loves all sides of the hobby. Socialising, gameplay, site layout... Marshals have been excellent too. Way more observant than most back home.
Where have you played in the UK?

Good to hear you're enjoying it over here. I was on one of the US based forums a few years ago and while most were generally quite chilled there were a few drama queens and tactical timmys who did seem to think they're the next Jason Hayes

I can hugely recommend the 5.11 Rush day sacks. I've used a Rush 24 daily (and some weekends too) - the very same pack since January 2017, and its been superb. the zips on the little pockets are finally starting to go, but that’s about it.

This is what happens when your "airsoft stuff I want" list is small. I folded immediately and ordered one, and some bits from other places too to complete my setup. The Rush12, hydration bladder, and binoculars should turn up tomorrow/Thursday, and other bits in the coming weeks (a bunch of kit from Europe, pistol parts from Asia)

There's still stuff I want on the list, obviously, but they're... expensive and not immediately useful items (real-steel gear to replace repros, NVGs / thermals, new cobra hood that won't glow under IR), so that can wait until much later in the year.

Another vouch for the 5.11 Rush packs (Rush 12 in my case).

I've had mine for years, use it daily, and it's still mint...I just hope that 5.11's QC hasn't dropped since I picked up my original one, as I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

First Tactical are worth a look as well. They do a half-day pack that's very similar to the Rush12 (I think one of the 5.11 designers split to start FT).
