Following the skullcrusher/boonie thingy, i bought a new j-arm and mount because issued j-arms and rhino 1 mounts belong to the bin.
Might also have bought a somogear ngal so i can burn some retinas.

Now I'm looking at replacing my thermal with a better unit...

Purchased 5 x MP7A1 40 round magazines in HKG whilst there. Checked with airlines restricted/prohibited list, and packed them with the receipt in a locked checked in bag.
Bag was broken open in transit stop and items confiscated !!
No call, no email requesting more info just removed and left with a damaged case.
Gutted

I guess not bought, but I did sit in traffic for 5 hours.
I got very lucky with this and it'll make a nice project- and I have the tooling (lathe ect) to make a decent job of it.

Certainly needs a tripod.

It will have a realistic ish fire rate, it's not going to be any sort of high speed build. I'm quite tempted to stick an M14 box in it though so there is the option of semi auto, just incase it ever gets dragged to one of the bigger cqb sites.
I'm going to Kenya in the morning so it's going to be untouched for a couple of weeks though.

A friend recently asked me how to go about upgrading an old G-Spec on behalf of Someone else, and through the course of discussing it, and All the parts and work that would be involved i queried as to whether or not buying something newer and easier would be a better option.

The choice of the Tac-41 came up, specifically how much simpler it might to just get one of these, with a better spring in as a starting point.

That aside, I somehow talked myself into getting one myself too!

Here it is, untouched inside, barring a 2J spring and metal spring guide; looking to take it out for its christening on Sunday, all being well!
