figured this might be an interesting question to ask and see what people's methods are.

do you train for your shooting skills? have a practice range at home or, like me, do you leave it to the field to get your trigger time?

i do sometimes think it would be good to do some pistol training, as the few times i draw it i don't have the snappiness of shooting that i'd like. sure i can hit something if i spend ages lining it up but i'm nowhere near as quick as i would be with one of my aeg's.

thing is, i don't live in the country so popping out in the back yard for some plinking isn't an option for me, and there's not much range indoors for proper pistol shooting.

Mainly in game TBH although a mate does have an orchard so we do use that occasionally when sighting in or trying a new toy.

I wait till everyone is out, I put on all my gear and I just do daily chores and that makes me a better player?

regularly get my kit on at home when i have nothing to do, practice mag changes with primary and secondary, weapon handling on the whole (transitioning etc) CQ shooting and ranged..

i think i have an actual problem, not just a partial one, however i find it much easier to work out problems with my loadout, pouch positioning etc to do this at home than just turning up to play.

definitely made me better!

Fucking train to play airsoft hahahaha.

Anybody who dresses up and practices pistol draws and stuff is just off the charts sad. What next little dumbbells to perfect your trigger finger strength?

Been playing for years and never once put my kit on except when playing.

Other than the things that need cleaning or repairing my gear stays stowed.

lol someone with enough time to make 4000+ posts, calling people sad because they like the sport, making this comment is literal gold, especially the dumbell for trigger finger comment, you must have them for all of your keyboard warrior fingers ;)

Oi @fezcat 4000+ posts over 3 1/2yrs is probably still less time wasted than the average fatsofter squeezing in and out of their overtight Ubacs every couple of weeks to take selfies in the bathroom mirror.

Never called anyone sad for loving the hobby called people sad for practising at home. Go play go home live life, it is called being normal.

As for keyboard warrior nah I am twice as much a cunt in person, famous for it ?

i got a 50meter area at work i use when its all quiet, and a smaller area at home, but my dogs don't like the sound of an airsoft gun going off. dont train so much as test guns, chrono and hop adjust. maybe go a bit wilder when i get a new toy.

the real training needed for airsoft is putting up with idiots, and i have spent all my working life training for that! still need to walk away sometimes though lol

Train? Not with my gats, but I regularly hit the gym.... Got nowt at all to do with fitness for airsoft, I just love beer and pizza dont want be a fat fucker.

No need to train - I was born $hit at playing airsoft

If anything I think I have steadily become $hittier over time

my lack of field awareness makes me really f*cking careless

soz - used a line from Sheila's Wheels parody - but still funny...

Really though - OK test your gun, tweak ya hop

experiment with some other crap perhaps like

maybe practice a bit of peeking left shooting with left hand if you want to empty mag

or moving & shooting at targets but keep this toy gun stuff real perhaps

But really - end of day just play more

Plinking in your garden is NOTHING like a game day

them targets don't shoot back

(though them targets don't shout HIT - just like that little w@nker doesn't you already shot 5 five times)

Unless you got an evil friend round - you won't get shot in the back by you own team on game day

I'm a natural - a natural f*cking idiot as they refer to Tyrone in Snatch

" Course I am... "

when I get shot to $hit, my excuse is always.....

I test my guns at home, managed to find 8.5m by shooting through two doorways with a milk bottle for a target

But I don't spend lots of time doing that, as even at that distance even I can't miss ?

S it wouldn't be much  practise.

Though it was fun emtying the Skorpion on full auto earlier today.?

Me? nah did enough of that in my more informative years.

Plus I'm developing my own airsoft tactic, which is confuse the crap out of the enemy.

See that bush in front, nope won't be hiding there, i'll be camping elsewhere.

Got a few kills with just a stick last week, they're so busy pushing up, I ran right behind and got a fair few taps.

Can't wait to get some army lads to play against, that should really be fun.

Oh not to mention I have bugger all to practice with, just me camo gear.
