So, new Flash Mag broke after about an hour using it.

The plastic bit on the end came off and the wire rolled up all the way inside.

Had to dismantle the mag, only thing I could find to tie on to the cable was one of my daughter's beads.  At least she had a blue one!

I will of course paint it a more tacticool black, once I locate my enamel black paint.

I've already tidied up the end and I also melted the end of the bead to make it less likely to come off

Cheers

see this is what happens when you tug on it too vigorously you end up having to use beads to keep it stiff

i wouldnt worry about the colour, i highly doubt anyone will notice or care, hell i ran a pink hairband as a grenade pin retainer for months before anyone noticed.

When I opened mine there was loads of spare string, have you opened it up to repair it?

Cheers

Most of mine have done that too...  Small cable tie, some super glue and a bit of patience is my current fix.

Cable tie with a loop for ease of "grab" and heavy fishing line as long as you like...fiddley the first time..

in my case I think the cable itself was fine, it didn't break.  It seems to be plastic coated wire.  It was knotted at the end to hold the plastic pull knob, and it just came undone.

You eat fishing line? Pooing must be painful.. ..
Shoulda said thinner!

I think that's what it is,I'm no angler..TBH how strong does it need to be..
If it's like mine it's a thiner steel wire coated in plastic, which normally strips itself after a while. Mine did the exact same so replaced it with mmy fishing braid ad nylon line will coil up after a few uses as it's not as supple.

I guess it's not a genuine Lonex magazine, right?
