MWS + which accessories?

Glad you had a good time out!

The Vickers Sling is great not sure on price.

Went with the black hawk, as I found it for £25 delivered and the Vickers was more than double... Fingers crossed.

At the moment the sling mount is in the end of the stock. Which means the rifle hangs very low - can you get anything so you can attach the sling further forwards?

You can, I forget their actual name but they go In front of the buffer tube with a loop on each side(left or right mounting availability) They are pretty universal. Have a look on PatrolBase for Sling mounts, and then see if you can find cheaper/better elsewhere!

Thanks for that, I shall go on the hunt...

Next question - Which mag coupler fits the TM mags? Because so far I've only found ones for pmags and I don't think they'd work?

A TM mag coupler should work, or any other generic M4 one.

You can get a buffer tube sling mount, but you need to take the tube off IIRC. And that requires a specialised tool too.

A front sling RIS mount would give you two mounting points for a 2 or 3 point sling.

Ah, poop. I shouldn't have bought a sling so quickly!
Ah well, serves me right for being an eager beaver.

So - would you trust a £500 rif to a £7 sling plate?

Or am I being overly cautious?

Personally I'd buy a better brand, such as Magpul or another RS maker, but each to their own.

I cant vouch for that product but if it is made of stamped steel you shoudl be fine, id only worry if it is cast pot alloy.

I tend to buy proper RS AR sling mount or use Magpul RSA mounts for up front, and either sling wrap the stock or use the attachment points on the stock cos i dont get on with the sling being so close to my trigger hand

Thanks chaps, that's what I was thinking.
I can't find the magpul plates in stock anywhere in the UK - Any other brands I can look for?

If you look on eagle6 I’m sure you can get a couple of designs. I’ve had a QD one and a cqbr one with two big loops.

Hadn't heard of them - and you were right!
Found one and ordered - I'm going to be so excited every time the door knocks for at least the next week at this rate :-D

Better to have your Christmas in march these days, at least it snows :D

There’s hundreds of aftermarket parts for the MWS so if you can, get specific ones. I’ve fitted aftermarket ones and they needed a little bit of filing to slide on. They’re simple fixes, but why fix something when you’ve the option of fitting one that goes straight on.
