The specific issue that I'm talking about is dead players not constantly or consistently signalling that they're dead. Sure, it's aballarm ache to keep a hand raised for 2 minutes, and usually it is fairly apparent that a group standing around with their guns down are deaders, especially if they're bantering away.
But I have popped into the middle of a group of such players, assumed they were dead, and got pew-pewed when it turned out that they were just Rear Echelon Motherlovers who'd underestimated my ninja-like infiltration skills and thought they were safe. Entirely my fault in that case, but my mis-assumption was informed by actual dead players behaving in the same way.
Given the split second you've got to make the decision, I know I should pew first and ask questions later, but it doesn't feel very British to do so.
Majority of the time players are their own worst enemies which leads to hot heads blasting off... I'd like to say that players should use common sense but we all know that doesn't actually exist. The amount of issues I hear as a marshal, give a pretty simple fix to the issue and 9 times out of 10 get the response "oh I didn't think of that" funny that it was probably covered in the brief at the start of the game....
