Eye protection.

I use the basic full face mesh:

Costs about a fiver and does a decent enough job, though I'm about to switch to Ski-like googles with a bandana face over lay, gunning for a look like this lads ;-)

All this talk about losing teeth makes me paranoid of going in without full face...
yeah full face are good but cant look down the sights very well,i seen your sig about losing teeth get a 2 piece gumshield for airsoft as they work well,i have experienced being shot in the teeth, its not nice

Yeah as long as there's *something* covering my face to take the force out of the BB strike I think my teeth will be fine. All the stories about missing teeth in this thread seem to be from those that had

nothing over the lower face.

I don't think that a bandana would provide any protection against getting teeth knocked out at all - it's loose over the mouth and not thick enough to create any significant cushioning effect.

it would be better than nothing, but not much... as you can see i wear the bottom half of a standard mask under my balaclava and think it looks quite well, no problem with face and stock...

I typically wear a balaclava, and then fold a shemagh diagnally and wrap it round the lower part of my face a tie it at the front. I did buy a half-face mesh mask but I couldn't get on with it. It was really uncomfortable and dug into my face.

I'm terrified of damaging or losing teeth.

I have been tempted to buy some gum shields but I wasn't sure how much of an impact they would have on communication.

Remus. I think what you've gone for looks really good!

cheers, and its really good at taking out the impact without being bulky, ad still allows communication, though lowers the volume a bit... though getting a camo balaclava proves more difficult than you would think... considering getting another m88 and camo painting it... dammit find it just after tis post, grr...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Airsoft-SWAT-Style-2-Holes-Balaclava-Hood-Face-Mask-3-Colors-Black-OD-Flecktarn-/350667790746?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&var=&hash=item51a56dd99a

If you ever come across any A-TACS AU camo balaclavas or scarves during your travels send a message my way! ... :)

If you have a look at Russian Federation gear you'll find a few different types of camo balaclavas. Bally's get too hot for me though - even 1/2 face neoprene gets uncomfortably sweaty and itchy.

tbh they are too hot for me, but then im not a heat person. mine is quite thin though and absorbs sweat and prevents it running into my eyes which is a big pain in those games that are all run run run... yea neoprene is just meh(have a half mask of that and never worn it to skirmish...)

for a gumshield I can't recommend highly enough the SISU 1.6mm mouth guard, if you want top and bottom you'll need to buy two of course.

I wear one for woodland now and I find it very comfortable, doesn't stop me drinking or talking (though obviously eating would be a bit grim). It's extremely low profile across the teeth and when fitted nicely you don't even really notice it's there.

Do you wear just the one, or two?
