Thought Iād introduce myself my name is David, but on the field I go by Foreign Airsofter.
Iām originally from Latvia, and after serving in the French Foreign Legion, the nickname āForeign Airsofterā just felt right a little nod to both where I come from and my time in service.
For years I wanted to get into Airsoft, but life always seemed to get in the way. Finally, at the beginning of this year, I decided it was time to jump in and Iāve been playing as much as I can ever since!
How it all started
I built a campervan in the UK, and my partner and I set off on a nearly 3-month road trip around Europe. On my birthday during that trip, I decided to treat myself I bought my first Airsoft rifle and officially started my Airsoft journey!
Originally, I wanted to go down the sniper route, but after doing some research and chatting with more experienced players, I decided to start with an AEG. I picked up a Tokyo Marui HK416D, and I absolutely love it itās almost identical to the one I used during my time in the French Foreign Legion.
When I got back to the UK, I dug out my old army uniform from the attic, grabbed a chest rig and helmet off AliExpress, strapped a GoPro to my head and hit the UCAP Bunker with just one mag and had an absolute blast!
I even recorded that first game for my YouTube channel:

Since thenā¦
My collection has definitely grown (Iāve even managed to get my dad hooked on Airsoft
Funny story before my very first game, I actually took my HK416 apart just to understand how it worked, and thatās where my interest in tinkering and upgrading began. Iāve since added a sniper rifle to my loadout and really enjoy both playstyles.
I love big outdoor fields and Milsim events, though I donāt mind a good CQB session now and then. I used to play regularly at Ground Zero and UCAP Bunker, but Iāve recently moved to South WalesĀ so Iām looking forward to checking out the local sites and meeting more like minded players in the area!
I did use a my fried GPT to make my gibberish easier to read ahhaĀ
