I'm wanting a GBB rifle that is used for under £300

Preferably a GBB rifle with atleast 1 mag and a sight of some description not really bothered which. I would like condition good enough to be able to clean grease and then just insert gas and BBs and go without problems.

There's no pick up and play GBBR at that price tbh.

Most of the time they need a bit of work out of the box, usually a part of two replaced and maybe some parts finegling.

The only GBBR I've seen which is out of the box ready to roll with no fucking around needed is the VFC AK, and that's double your budget sadly

I've seen a few for around the 300 mark this is why I'm asking I'm perfectly okay replacing a few parts and doing some stuff with it as long as it is nothing major.

I'm also fully okay with it being a dmr build I'm just wanting something medium range to go along side my GBB Glock.

If you want SMGs then yeah, I thought he wanted a rifle.

Would not recommend the CGS, absolutely awful system, poor quality control, avoid.

That HK416 is a steal but having chatted to the owner it needs a lil TLC. (Still a great deal).

Don't get the KWA MP9 as your first, it's a gun I've watched experienced techs curse to high hell. It can run great, but only after replacing every part inside it and fettling it just right.

The Tec-9 is cute and there's a handy Explosive Enterprises video deep diving on it. It's very meh, can't really fix any of its issues, has no aftermarket. Nice if you want that Miami Vice look but basically any other GBB SMG will outperform it.

My pick would be the 416 with the understanding you might have hop issues, second is the MP7 noting that it can break its backplate.

Hey Tom, welcome to the forum, im not the best person to advise you on gas rifles, as all of my gas stuff pistols & shotguns.

I will say ive seen G36 series guns on here, usually with a few mags, for between £160-£250, mostly WE I think ?, not sure how good they are.

Next question, how much airsoft experience do you have & what does your current armoury consist of ?, because if you're just starting out & in your words "i want something to insert gas & bb's in & just go, with no problems, with something that goes with my glock", then a gbb isn't that straightforward, can be temperamental in hot, or cold extremes, mags are heavier & lower capacity, & you'll often find yourself outgunned by literally almost every aeg.

Not trying g to put you off, just give the best advice for your situation ?

At the moment I have a now broken electric rifle and a GBB Glock replica I always much preferred the feel of the gas power so I felt it would be better to go full gas rather than having to worry about gas AND electric. I live in a place in cumbria which rarely exceeds 20 degrees so I always ran black gas worked for me however high pressure does put some guns off..

I'm aware of the tinkering needed to get the GBB up and running through my pistol but it was more a I don't want something which I'm going to need to buy lots of replacements for and be in good condition overall

I also have just seemed to be fully unlucky with every aeg I've ever used in it consistently arriving DOA or dying very quickly with some form of electrical problem

Great build, wasn't there one recently?

tompairsoftwantgbbrifle, if you search in the classifieds you mine see something you like...

Yeah the G36s are pretty decent for pretty cheap. Double Eagle Noveskes also.

Regardless of what happens, you've got to factor at a bare minimum 4 mags into the equation, you cannot run on a single mag, you'll be in games for maybe 2 minutes.

WE G36's are solid, you can usually get them with an NPAS and a few mags for well under £300 - the mags are really cheap as well compared to just about anything else. These are budget guns, so performance will be satisfactory, but you're not getting any form of laser beam out of the box.

Double Eagle N4's that are UK spec really need a lot of work to be usable - Minimum to work is replacement nozzle (usually guns modify), replacement hop bucking (most suggest Sniper Mechanics Flamingo, but they're fragile as fuck), Replacement inner barrel to run to the end of the muzzle - UK spec ones come with a 180mm barrel in a space big enough for a 250mm to fudge under UK limits, then an NPAS either Jaeger or Federal Concepts. By the time someone has done all of that, then decided to sell it on, you're basically paying £300 used with a single mag, and you can't run them on a single mag.

Do not buy Cyma Gas System - they keep getting labelled as MWS by retailers who don't give a shit, they're not, they're at most 30% MWS - where that becomes a problem, decent spares are non-existent and the ones that do exist are craptastic and overpriced.

Just jumping in, but if you want a GBB for around 300 that will be reliable then a Tippmann M4 HPA might be worth looking at. Tank and microbore will raise the price but uses aeg mags, has recoil and needs minimal maintenance.
A. Not a GBB.

B. The company doesn't exist any more.

C. They're not reliable and parts don't exist any more as per point B.

This would be the top suggestion of 2008 maybe but the Tippman is ancient.

needs minimal maintenance

Oh man he deleted.

C'mon man. I know there's a little ribbing but that's a little silly.

His only two interactions on the forum was to suggest a Tippmann on a GBB thread. Guess the schools out again? ?
