The 'What have you just bought' Thread

2x Federal Concepts GM Evo Locker packs (so 6 mags total) - So I can run Ranger plates on them without them dismantling themselves

1x GM Evo PMag V2- to bring myself up to 6 of them.

 
I finally jumped onto the El Cheapo Ares 'drop in' HPA gearboxes. Time will tell if it really does drop in without any alignment issues. It certainly seems to be working well out of the gun though. Pleasantly surprised to see that they appear to have upgraded the latest batch with the battery cable being wired to deans, and to be rear wired with a long enough length to go through the buffer tube (the first batch had a very short wire with an XT30 connector). Cautiously I have also obtained an Ares rotary hop unit, in case the gearbox doesn't play well with my usual hop unit choices. Not bad for £131 posted.....

Different to my usual western ‘special’ forces load out I’ve gone classic bad guy with this very pretty TM AKS47 type 3 EBB. Second hand and upgraded with a Gate Astor, tightbore barrel, hop up, nub etc. It cycles lovely and smooth and looks stunning with just enough patina to make it look like it’s been used but looked after for decades.
 

Off to play at a new site tomorrow so look forward to seeing how accurate it is and how it does on the chrono, but it’s an AK so full auto aimed at something over there will hopefully get a hit or 2.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 2 tone. If it's anything like the WE pistols I've owned you'll just have to look at the paint funny and it'll start coming off

Meanwhile back on topic, this week I've picked up a T238 nano traser which on the whole I'm happy with despite a few issues (review to come when I've had a chance to properly test it), a few pouches both new and old and a molle thigh panel

 
WE Apache A3 and KWA USP 9, cheeky little H&K setup as I want to have a few games where I'm not sat at the back like a loser with my VSR and get my fat ass moving a bit more, need to set up my second belt to suit this load out but thankfully won't need a million pistol mag pouches as I won't be running 2 pistols with this. Or maybe I'll run a Mac with these 2 ?

Just got a set of G&P externals, probably going to cannibalise another G&P to build it out into an SPR style rifle. Not a huge fan of the texturing on the stock and grip but you get used to it. The lower markings are very 2010s cringe. What I was really after was the URX 3.1 handguard but it also came with the iconic KAC golf ball effect dimpled barrel which is a vibe. And a 3d printed suppressor which looks fine from a few steps back and is actually lighter than the metal flash hider

Very nice. I have a 3.1 on my SR25k, which I would love to point you to but it looks like the website where I got it has disappeared! www.honortask.com in case it comes up again.
