Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic

After the debacle with my order getting nicked from my mailbox because Evri thought it would be a good idea to leave it super visible on a very busy street just down from the rough part of town, I disputed the order and the seller basically just said they'd send me the products again. It was only £10 worth of cheapo Aliexpress inserts, but they have now arrived and my lightweight setup is complete. It's super easy to swap between weapons with the inserts and if I like it I may splash out on a proper Haley Strategic D3CRM plus inserts instead of the Aliexpress clone stuff here (I also have some 9mm SMG inserts as well for my mp9, but I mostly snipe or DMR so I only included those in the picture).

Full loadout allows for 4 spare pistol mags, 5 spare MWS mags / 4 spare m700 mags, and my rangefinder in the chest rig and belt (waiting on a kydex radio pouch that will go on the belt too), then spare BBs, gas, tactical snacks etc. in the backpack that can be quickly removed when needed. It's super easy to swap between my MWSs and m700s as all I need to do is swap out the chest rig insert, as the rifle mag pouches on the belt fit both, though the m700 mags are quite tight!

So just waiting on the kydex radio pouch to complete this (baofeng w/ extended battery, cheapo milspec PTT and clone Invisio m3 earpiece is my comms setup), but considering the only guns I use nowadays are MWSs or m700s, I really like this setup as it's super easy to switch between them. It basically accommodates all the guns I use, even my Kar98k with its weird mags that I just put in the admin part of the chest rig. Testing it this weekend with my civvie setup (cheapo not-jeans and a flannel shirt) and the entire loadout fits in a single gun bag plus the backpack I'll be taking into the games themselves.

What do you have for this?

Vortex Crossfire HD 1400 Rangefinder. £200 on Uttings

Yeah, it's somewhat pricey and goes to ranges far beyond what I need in airsoft, but that Vortex warranty is nice, and after using my friend's cheapo golf rangefinder I'm so glad I shelled out. The Vortex one is super clean and easily visible, but I had a lot of trouble actually seeing the readout on my friend's one.

Is this for checking a MED? Because I'm not sure a range based holdover/under really translates into Airsoft physics?

That's a use, but it's a rare one. If someone gets uppity about me "shooting too close" when I know I'm not (because I've been dealing with a 30m MED for literal decades at this point) then it allows me to prove without argument that I am correct.

I mostly use it for longer distance, because it allows me to know roughly where I need to aim for the really long distance shots (talking like... 85m+). It's not the exact science that it is in real-steel shooting, but I've found it can give me an idea of roughly where I need to aim on my scope reticle to hit the shot with somewhat decent success. If there's wind, success chance drops a bunch, but it still gives me a good starting point to then work out where I need to shoot accounting for wind as well.

Also useful for recon purposes. Being able to tell other people exactly how far away stuff is can come in handy too.

Finished setting up my first plate carrier now I've lost enough weight that it doesn't make me look like a string of sausages. Carrier itself is just an 8 fields one that will eventually be superceded but all the mag pouches are surplus. Digi flora one can fit two ak mags each or one of my rpk midcaps depending on what I want to run. Mag pouches on the cumberbund add an extra 4 mag spaces without taking up my range of movement in my arms. 74u is the ubiquitous cyma cm.045

Experiments with two sets.

First one is soft posture and motorised, quite light setup, mostly Arktis Crossrig with WAS pouches coupled with a WAS battle belt with mostly Arktis pouches.

Second one is dismounted long range/deep recce, heavier setup with OD PLCE attached to a BHI OD LBV to boost ammo capacity.

Pics taken at Red Alert (Newbury) by the immensely talented Dan Wiltshire.

P.S. No googles because no game, mags were empty, RIF was cleared by the photographer himself.

Still an improvement on me, I look like a bundle of ? tied up in the middle.
Definitely great pictures.
@Tackle, I'll see your Turd and raise you. If I wear my chest rig and battle belt at the same time I look like sausages...

I resent that remark, I'm a butcher & will not tollerate any slight towards sausages.

The problem: i can't fit all my 7.62's in my viper rig when playing with my MC51.

The solution: Mishmash pattern shinianigins (MPS)

It's a 58 yolk ("repaired") with righthand (kidney) misc pouch, the pistol mag pouches will cover smokes and pistol mags, a triple and the black bottle pouch and side misc would be speed loader, water and any snacks and to finish out the load.

It all fits well together, will feedback if I can get shooting again this summer!
