At the risk of sounding very stupid (Nothing unusual!)

Is this shiny silver adjustable thing the NPAS adjuster?

My fps is 225 roughly on a 0.25g bb which seems a little low ?

No, that's a restrictor disc, it's not beneficial and can be removed by screwing it out. Leaving it in causes backpressure against the rocket valve when closing, which hampers blowback slightly and can introduce inconsistency in FPS.

Inside there may still be an npas, mine had the restrictor and npas as well

What would I be looking for in the nozzle to see if it is an NPAS?

No problem, the general go-to for vfc npas is cl project but vfc does their own, I'm not sure how readily available they are however
