This crossed my path this morning. Ended up pre-ordering one through JKArmy given the price and potential.

It looks like an interesting concept - an MWS rifle using TM hicapa mags.

Won’t be released until January, so I probably won’t receive mine until late January/February. But I thought I’d create a thread to talk about it.

Sigh. Hi Capa mags, literally the only ones I don't have.

So mine arrived on the weekend.

i ordered two however that hasn’t panned out. One arrived with a factory defect (cracked nozzle). The second one is below. I’ve put a SCW stock on it.View attachment 143138

Seems to cycle well on ultrair at room temp. Haven’t tested the power or consistency of shots as the one I’m planning on changing the inner barrel and hop rubber soon.

largely MWS compatible.

MWS hop unit, MWS BCG, MWS trigger box, MWS spec stock tube.

These GBB PCC's are getting quite interesting now. Pistol GBB mags are way more practical for their size and weight compared to the rifles mags. Plus, if you run compatible side arm, you only need to carry one type of magazine and pouches.

This is my reasoning. I have 50 odd pistol magazines for Marui glocks and hicapas. I’ve ended up going with a PCC45 as it was £200 (without any upgrades), so even if I spend £400 on upgrades - it’s cheaper than buying a stock MWS with 4 mags… as the mags are a massive additional cost.

I’ve also got an MWS AR9 and a GHM9-G which take Marui glock mags… so again, they’re quite reasonable in cost because I’ve already got the mags upfront.

i love my AKX and it’s by far the most reliable and accurate piece of kit I have. But the mags are £50-70 each and they’re super heavy. I worked out the other day, for the weight of 3 AKM mags, I can carry 9 guarder lightweight hicapa mags. I only use 4 or 5 in a game so it’s much more comfortable in terms of weight and space.

I’d really like to see someone do a purpose built PCC for glock mags built off the MWS.

i have a few glock based PCCs. But none of them were out of the box ready to go.

The GHM9 and TWS9mm required modification to take glock mags.

The prowin AR9 kit is a fairly large undertaking and required fairly careful modification. It would be nice to be able to buy one that’s just ready to go.

The Sekio quarter circle 10 looks cool, but takes proprietary mags… so defeats the point.

I can see myself fielding one of these for that reason.

Granted only one type of mag, which gives you greater flexibility I suppose - but ultimately no reduction in the overall number of mags needing to be carried - unless you go for a load of extended hicapa mags that will have a higher capacity than the typical GBBR rifle mag.

Reducing the number of mags isn't necessarily the objective or beneficial. I had a mate ditch his primary and use his sidearm only. Let's just say that running out of ammo mid-game was identified before he went to the game area as a likely outcome and that he did it twice without learning his lesson. ?

Reducing mag type I need is one reason I get one. Yes I still carry same amount of mag(6), but if the PCC is dead I have all 6 mags ready for pistol

I invested in TTI lightweight mags. They’re about £30 a magazine but weight half that of a stock magazine. Means I can comfortably carry 8 mags for the same weight as 4 stock mags.

Even the savia mag is lighter than tm stock, and it has high flow valve. However my savia one need some filing on the follower before it can do bolt lock after empty. The other thing is I loved the mirror finish of TM mag so much lol
