Quick Questions & Simple Answers.

This is more complicated than i anticipated.. ?

I'm looking at a TM NGRS SCAR-L, just as a general assault rifle, not for CQB or DMR use. Apparently you can go to 365mm with the standard outer barrel length (which i'd keep) whereas it comes with a 300mm barrel as standard.
I was thinking the same thing and it is really complicated haha! There is this thread and it gets quite technical...too much for my simple brain! ? Still non the wiser!

Asking for both AEGs and GBBRs:

Is there any inherent problem that would arise from storing RIFs with the upper and lower receiver split so they take up less space?

For context, I am looking at the possibility of splitting the upper and lower on both my M4's and storing them strapped to a rigid molle panel in the lid of a Pelican 1650, rather than laying them on top of all my other gear.

Other than the obvious issues of dust, debris, internal parts potentially getting damaged etc which should be minimised by them being in the case - is there anything else I need to look out for? I may well just be overthinking this.

Risks to storing guns would be debris getting in to the gun, moisture causing corrosion and or mold and the opposite rubber parts lubricants drying out.

Does anyone know how to modify a scorpion evo to shoot semi only? The only way I've seen to do it is to install the jefftron leviathan mosfet. Is that the only way?

Just got my first aeg and out of the box its shooting 384 fps how can i bring sown the fps?

Thinking of so many terrible answers. Must not troll. Only good answer is spring crop or changing the spring.
I knew that you have to change springs/ cut them , but i didn't know about m95 ,  m100 springs etc  . But thank you for the help.

Well an m100 should be about right but you never know this is the thing an cropping a spring depends on how you eye it up as a tech and that is far from an exact science.

Depending on the toy in question (regarding the quality of the metal used for the spring) and if you are going to the bother of removing the spring anyway I would invest in some threaded rod and 2 nuts. Compress the spring on the rod using the nuts and leave it for a week. I will be very surprised if this does not bring it down to the required power.  I now do this myself as by cutting new springs in the past they then "bed in" and come in way under the power I was aiming for.

I’m looking for high-quality, durable long stickers that say "Coyote." I’ve checked eBay, but I’d love to hear any recommendations on where to buy them. Has anyone here had experience with stickers that really stick well, especially for use on a downhill bike? Thanks!

Uh.. what forum do you think you're on..?

Has anyone replaced a cocking handle on a G&G MP5? Is it possible to buy a cocking handle from another brand and reduce to size as required and reinstall the factory roll-pin that secures it?

Not sure if the cocking handle lengths are any different between manufacturers or the holes that the roll-pin goes through are different sizes.

Can I get a price check on this.

I recently upgraded my mws cqbr block 1 to a nova receiver and obviously have a load of spare bits left over, all in really good condition but I would note the upper and lower receiver are both completely stripped with only the forward assist remaining.

In the box:

  • MWS rear site
  • Replica rear battle site
  • Genuine Magpul mlok vertical grip
  • MWS vertical grip
  • MWS a2 pistol grip
  • MWS rails
  • Hop unit and adjuster
  • Stock

I think theres some value but not sure what price to put on it.

Cheers?

I'm going to be getting a TM MP7 GBB this weekend. Are there any issues or things I should know about first?

yes, the rear of the upper receiver can crack due to the bolt hammering it over time. Get a sling mount to reinforce the area.

The mags can leak eventually and I've had to rebuild 8 so far by removing the bottom and sealing with silicon.

If you go for a MP7 style silencer try before you buy as I've had issues with some silencers smashing the BB's because of alignment.

Thanks

If that's all I need to do to prevent the receiver from breaking then that's not a problem. Also I'm not planning on using anything stronger than green gas so hopefully that'll make it last.

I had heard about that. As I understand it, it's a similar fix to mk23 mags which I can do.

It'll be for cqb so I'll not bother with anything on the muzzle to keep it as short as possible.

If taking an AEG from a 275mm barrel to ~210mm will i need to change the cylinder size due to the ratio or will it still work ok? Also how badly will it affect the range by losing 65mm of barrel length?

Anything over 200mmm should be fine for accuracy. Without knowing what type the cylinder is now it's hard to say if it will be fine for a 210mm barrel.
