HK416 Handguard & Barrel

I have an Evolution e416 (top one in the picture) with a 14.5 outer barrel

I’d like to change the Handguard to one similar to the bottom picture

is it a simple case of ordering a 13.5” Handguard and swapping them, or do you have to change the outer barrel etc?

It should be a fairly straightforward swap. The barrel nut for the first one probably won't work for the second one though so that'll need to be swapped too. That said, if you're trying to replicate the gun in the second picture you will need a shorter barrel (probably inner and outer).
