Quick Questions & Simple Answers.

The whole thing is an adaptor or a riser mount (depending on the type of rails)

They are part of a rail system

The top is the male end of the rail mount

The bottom is the female end of the rail mount, and features the clamping system

They could be the same type of rail system on top/bottom or they could be different rail systems

Are you asking what it is (as in the female end/clamp) or what type of rail system - eg Weaver/picatinny/dove tail etc
No, I just didn't know about the male and female terminology so I was curious what it was called. Thank you for explaining in detail!

Do you need radios in airsoft?
as above, if your on your own, no need

I use them with my brother and soon his mate, can be useful at times but most of our chatter is where we are or when we are heading off for lunch! :)

Just go to a soddjng game!
No :P
It's much easier to ask everyone for every bit of info prior to going without even knowing whether you will enjoy the sport long enough to make purchases worthwhile.

What's the thing they say about the noobs who dived headfirst into buying without playing? All the gear and no idea? lol

Is there an faq forum I can look at for new people or should I just ask all my questions here?

Best thing is to read the tutorials/guides in the beginners section first perhaps

In case it fails to display in my sig....

New players - please - pretty please read the guides first in New Players Section

An absolute must read is this one:

http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/17294-ians-guide-to-noobism-on-a-tight-budget/

&

http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/30038-budget-of-ll-lll-what-gun-to-choose/#entry232449

plus a search is less keystrokes that creating same ol' new posts again & again - what to buy etc....

Most stuff will be covered I would say, LOADS of info, wish I found this before

(made a few bad first purchases and wotnot - could have avoided that if I read up first)

Glance over the guides if you still have a question then ask away sir

PS - welcome to the forum

Anyone used a FAST helmet mandible? e.g. this

Is cheek weld bad? And by 'Ops Core Highcut' does anyone think/know it'd work for the Maritime, too?

looks like it would..... interesting idea....i have what looks like the rubber ear protectors used already that slide along a rail and then wear a half face mask.... this would be a better option :)

Seems most of the usual places are Out of stock of these so may have to pay the higher price :(

considering they are going in an ASG AR15, they should be fine.....i hope!

Have been reading a few older topics where some have had issues with other makes of AEGs so not sure how the ICS ones will behave.....

Did we ever get the AEG / Mag comparison chart done on here!! :)

Hi guys, anyone know if night evolution lights fit real steal mount, eg haley strategic thorntails, dropwings, etc?

I have the M600 which is a surefire copy, but not too sure how it lines up with the real deal so don't want to drop 50 quid for a mount and it not to fit.

Cheers

You could always get the FMA copy of the thorntail....

But my NE M300C fits my FMA Thorntail so...

What's the best way to make an indoor shooting range? What materials do I use? And what can I use to make sure bbs don't fly everywhere? I need something that can catch bbs when they ricochet. Lastly, what's best to use for targets??

Many thanks,

New Airsofter
