Which M4 gas mag is better? VFC or MWS?

I am currently using my GBBR on MWS platform (Guns modify SCAR, TM MWS). But I've heard that VFC are better, should I switch from MWS to VFC Platform? does the VFC Gas mags have better cold resistance or gas efficiency? anyone give me an insight please.

If it does, the model I am considering to buy is VFC HK416 A5

Much appreciate for any reply!

"Better" is hugely subjective and depends on environmental factors. Did you "hear" VFC is better from a staunch VFC user or somebody with an axe to grind with TM?

I don't think you can go wrong with either platform, certainly with VFC made in the last few years. VFC has more recoil out of the box generally and I'd say they feel more substantial. They also lift heavier BBs over a greater distance out of the box but swapping hop buckings and nubs is a simple enough job on the MWS platform so that benefit is negated quickly.

Cold resistance is relative. There are ways to combat it that make VFC vs MWS a much more nuanced discussion. You can use lighter bolts/BCGs along with using red or even black gas and both will still cycle reliably when it's near or below freezing.

Both options are good as a broad platform, but I will say the 416A5 is the worst VFC AR and would not recommend it at all

Just watch the recent Jaeger Precision YT video

He’s struggling to get consistent accurate shot after shot on his VFC’s

They do appear to need a bit of research and trial & error with upgrades to get accuracy

4uad hopup + Unicorn 70* Comp bucking or Modify X-Range 70*.

Still annoying that it needs those aftermarket parts, but they do at least fix the shitty stock hop.

Check this vid out:

I have the VFC 416A5 V3 - I use it stock and I am very happy with it. That being said, I have never used a MWS so I can't compare the two

Throughly recommend watching some Explosive Enterprises.

https://youtube.com/@explosiveenterprises?si=aHgdMJkad3TSjO1C

The channel features plenty of VFCs, as well as running Vipertechs on VFC magazines, and they typically test things until they break, fix it then test till something else breaks.

The only TM stuff they currently have is the Saiga and Double Eagle clone, but still worth checking out.
