Recently joined a WhatsApp selling group and yeah it was filled with some good stuff but obviously nothing could be verified as they don’t follow the strict ruling as they do here (which I whole heartedly agree with) so be cautious if you do head there.

one of the rules stipulates you can’t bombard the thread with messages, fair enough.. it can get a bit tedious when you’ve got 98 unread WhatsApp messages. Admins are hot on it… until they want to bombard it with messages questioning people’s prices and reasons for their prices.. then telling them to take their stuff to the vintage car boot.

So I outed one, said he cant expect us to go to DM if admins aren’t doing it. Told him it was a classic case of “admin power to the head”. I won’t stand for bullish admin behaviour especially if you make the rules you expect others to follow..

sure enough, the same admin hits me with the ban hammer… was I wrong to out him? I personally don’t think so.

Was a good platform to buy and sell but unfortunately, massively let down by one of the admins, so a bit of a shame really!

WhatsApp sales groups are shit.

Tune in next time for an exclusive on where bears like to shit

As has been said, WhatsApp is shit for classifieds, tried it myself there as a buyer, just getting a reply was hard work, definitely not how sales should be.

As for the admin, yeah sounds like a heavy handed dick, "do as I say, not as I do" definitely isn't the way to moderate, but at the same times I have no qualms getting the hammer out if someone gets nasty or abusive just because they're being asked to follow the rules.

Common sense & balance is what's called for usually ?

The irony of this also being posted to r/Airsoft_UK is not lost on me.

I had to cry too so it was really difficult to find a place to do both ?

And there was me minding my own business..

I see the name Hicks and I'm going to assume it's the same Hicks that threw a massive tantrum over me and my friend at the AI500 in Wales because we were tall; being 6'5" allowed us to shoot over a fence without blind firing (marshall standing next to us to make sure) and we spent an entire day abusing it to wipe him and his team out through the whole day because they couldn't figure out how to hit head-sized targets, or at least how to suppress targets. He threw tantrums in game, then also on Discord and Facebook afterwards and admittedly it was very amusing to watch.

At the same time, why are you engaging with him? Why are you continuing to stir the pot and complain about how the bad men bullied you on loads of other corners of the internet? I'd get it more if you saw some shady behaviour (and by that I don't mean double standards, I mean scammers) and reported it as a PSA, but this comes across as crying and trying to stir drama.

You're as bad as each other at this point.

Evening all, this isn't reddit, WhatsApp or Facebook,  its the common sense no bs alternative to those platforms, so we try to encourage informative positive posts, which admittedly get hideously derailed lol.

But this kinda hair pulling bitchy drama, nah, fuck that, life's too short.

FEEL MY ADMIN POWER BITCHES?
